The World Arabian Horse Organization, since it's inception in 1972 has worked to standardize the Arabian horse registries of the world. The organization achieves this through member nation's dedication to preserving, improving and maintaining the purity of the Arabian breed through strict and consistent procedures related to registry and definition. As a secondary objective WAHO works to advance the education of the history, care and treatment of the Arabian horse.

Based in the United Kingdom, the benefits for member nations are recognized all over the world from Algeria to Zimbabwe. Studbook directors and managers provide statitics and reports at the annual conferences, which this year was in beautiful Sicily.
