"The wonderful type of the Arabian horse was not created by us," says Dr. W. Georg Olms, the President of the Asil Club. "What we regard as a 'typey' Arabian was and is a result of Bedouin breeding. This can be seen anytime by studying the pictures of the famous masters of art."
In the wonderful book "Asil Arabians – The Noble Arabian Horses" (the "Bible" of every Arabian horse lover) he is proving this statement. Photographs of straight Egyptian horses are standing face to face with old paintings by Adam or Vernet – and the horses look absolutely the same!
