1988: Orashaan´s first steps into life... |

The years swiftly pass by and foals become horses. They grow up and, before we realise it, they reach breeding age. Still it is not hard to remember the time, when they were first let out to run with their dam. Some were frightened, while others explored the world with great self-confidence. But not all were allowed to live for long. Many died too early, in their first weeks or years. Some never left their stable, never matched their strength with other foals, never tasted a bunch of grass. Sometimes they fought hours or days, only to lose in the end. We remember them with sorrow. Other foals were sold. They achieved great victories for their new owners. They are the pride of our studfarm. But those who were not quite so "perfect" and were sold as plaesure horses are also dear to our heart. What may have become of them? We look forward to each new generation of foals with great anticipation. With each new foal that is born we find out wheter one mating or another was selected wisely. If not, we try again next year. The years pass swiftly. Foals become horses. And every year new foals come into the world, to whom we attach our hopes and expectations. Will they be fulfilled this time? We shall see... |
