It is both my honour and my pleasure to announce the purchase of Imperial Im Mahal by Marion Richmond of Simeon Stud. Im Mahal is by Ansata Imperial (Ansata Ibn Sudan x Ansata Delilah by Ansata Shah Zaman) and out of *Malekat El Gamal (Waseem x Nagdia by Nazeer).

This wonderful old gentleman will remain with us at Etaya Egyptian Stud until his departure to his new home at Simeon Stud in NSW, Australia. We look forward to the days ahead with Im Mahal and to the future when he joins the stallions of Simeon. Congratulations Marion biggrin.gif

Warmest regards,

Very exciting! Such old bloodlines close up, can't wait to see what he produces over Imperial Madaar daughters (doubling Ansata Ibn Sudan) and also the daughters of Ibtehag and Wed Albadeia (doubling the Albadeia lines).
Here are some photos I found:

Congratulations Marion!

Lovely, lovely stallion and one of my favorites!!!

I have two of his SE daughters here, both are excellent horses and also, very athletic.

I am looking forward to seeing his legacy carried on...

Sincerely,

Congratulations Marion,
You teased us on the other thread about buying a new old stallion. What a beauty and with bloodlines to match. It is going to be a very exciting foaling season, with your new stallions offspring.

Congratulation Marion,

I can not wait to meet him.
I agree he should do a wonderful job with the wonderful brood mare band at Simeon.

James

Isn't he a bit old to be travelling across the world? Or is this common?

It really depends upon his health as an individual and he must be in good health.

I know that he would not be shipped if it were a risk to his health, because of the stud farm that has purchased him wouldn't let that happen.

I don't know him personally I'm going by the reputation not only of Etaya but of Simeon Stud.

I wonder if any El Hilal babies will be going out next oh and what the next Shuala baby will look like!

Dear Concerned Guest,

Im Mahal is an older gentleman however, he does not appear to be aware of his age. wink.gif He has an extremely keen mind and a healthy interest in the mares.
With that said we are taking every precaution to ensure his well being. Upon arriving in Ontario Im Mahal was sent to a top vet clinic just outside of Toronto to assess and treat any health issues and to prepare a dietary plan. Prior to leaving Canada Im Mahal will be covering a small select group of mares, a job I have no doubt he will be more then happy to undertake. The additional months he will be staying with us is designed to provide him with an opportunity to build his reserves for the journey to his new home next spring. Both Marion and I are working towards that end, his safe arrival in Australia.

Im Mahal is truly a grand old man. He has a great spirit and a very bright light in his eyes. He carries himself with confident, pride and the attitude of a seasoned breeding stallion. I will happily admit he brings a smile to my face.

Best regards,

Jennifer Parsons
