Hi all,

I was wondering how many Serr Maariner's sons, straight egyptian, were still producing in the world. And where are they?

Thanks a lot!
Michele

I really have liked PRI Serr Sudan. But I don't know if he is still alive. I will look up the owners. The article in a magazine about them and their philosophy toward the horses was inspiring.

This was an interesting exercise.
Not as many as one would think with
the stellar performance record Serr
Maariner had. I can still see him in
longlines with Hector at the Egyptian
Event: what a performance!

Kind Regards,

Jill

Almaraimo Marino was gelded by the owner shown in DataSource and subsequently sold to a family in Los Gatos, CA that uses him for trail riding.

Was Princeton Mariner the chestnut one that we recently discussed here on this forum that resurfaced in England? I will look up the most recent stuff I have for PRI Serr Sudan (I was interested in him as an outcross as I had an Ansata Ibn Sudan son).

There is Princeton Mariner for SURE and maybe a rudalaro stallion also...For the others i think there are a lot who have passed away...
We need to have a replacement for this sire line in SE.

Yep, Princeton Mariner is alive and well and living with Sue Pike at the Vlacq Stud in North Wales gbfahne.gif

I've seen him recently and he is 'my sort', I love him and could take him home today!

My boy is Abitibi El Sahib, I already own 2 daughters of him as I used him before on 2 of my mares but now that he was available for purchasing, I jump on the occasion as I really admired him for years. I will use him on my daughters of Hal-Amir (El Halimaar) and hopefully will be able to get Lufti (Serenity Luftia) pregnant.
So I really looking forward 2009 for beautiful foals. And I also hope that he will live for many years to came!!
