Can anyone please assist with more information about Khattab or more specifically Ghandour - who was his sire, what was Ghandour's parentage?

I have been through books, Datasource and Allbreeds and have got no where. Any information would assist. I am wondering if he is a son of El Dere who had a daughter Ghandoura - probably a long shot and totally incorrect, so forgive if it is wrong.

Dear Debbi

If you mean Ghandour(c.1930) (there are more Ghandours) sire of Khattab a race winner here are the details:

sire: Merzuk II (c.1925)
dam: Jazia (Gazia, ghazia) (1916)
Owned by Mahmoud Pasha El-Itribi, Egypt.
could also be the breeder
Strain: Kuhaylan Kurush

Dear Hansi

Thank you. That is the horse I am after, just drawn absolute blanks on him and it has puzzled me and does not get me any further with my quest.

Could you tell me if any of the horses from the tail femaile line of El Samraa/ Bint El Sheikh have been race winners?

I think you are confusing two different mares named Hind…
There is a Hind that is Hadba Enzahi and the Inshass Hind that is Kuhaylan Krush.

Thanks Kimberli for drawing my attention to this.

The strain is stated as H Enzahi in Authentic Arabian Bloodstock page 392.
