Our stallion is a Versace son and his dam is a Simeon Sanegor daughter.

We have been looking at couple of mares to add to our breeding program and one is a Simeon Sanegor daughter. What are the thoughts on double Simeon Sanegor?? Her dam is a Naborr daughter who is out of a Bu-Zahr daughter who is a Fezon son.

Any thoughts????

Thanks!!

Simeon Sanegor....what can I say smile.gif He was a wonderful stallion who had a big fan club while in Australia. His dam Simeon Shirli has her self formed a dynasty and is the only Non Straight family that Marion still breeds from today so I think it tells a story. smile.gif I can't see why you would have a problem from doubling up on this line for Shirli was a wonderful balanced horse with good conformation suited to both the ridden or show ring even by today's standard and his Sire being by El Shaklan has been doubled and then some with pleasing results.....would love to see a photo of your guy because I admire Versace and once owned a Simeon Sanegor son. smile.gif

:Hi
Sanagor was my Ideal arabian (Fullstop) He was a horse that damand your eyes and your heart were upon him and just stood in awe of him Which you didnt have a choice in. And when his class was on you were there rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

And It was almost rude to have words Uttered whilst being in his presance, I couldnt have spoken if I wanted too I could hardly breath let alone speak and you couldnt blink either.

So congratulations and yeh go for it all the very best and love to see a pic of your colt,

If you want any info look up Eastwinds Arabians as they had Simeon Saar his sire and Im sure that Les and Tom would love the feedback as would Simeon Sangors australian owners Steven and Lynn Worsley of Joda arabians both of these have websites.

All the very best for the future
Kind Regards Linda biggrin.gif sigh

I know a lady in New Zealand who has 2 gorgeous double Sanegor mares. I will send her an e-mail and see if she'll get in touch with you. smile.gif

I have a double Simeon Sanegor colt: (both his dam and sire were Simeon Sanegor Grand-daughter/son), and I think he's the bees knees.
He's a 97% palomino part Arabian of mixed bloodline. He has excellent legs and feet and a short strong back and typey head. So I've got no concerns about this breeding! You might be planning on going a bit closer though...

Heres some piccies (as a 2yo-3yo)

Thank you all so much for input!! Here is a picture of our stallion. The Simeon Sanegor line he carries on his dam's side is what helped us make the purchase of this colt. I saw Simeon Sanegor when he first arrived here in the states and NEVER forgot the impression he left with me!!

Wow...he's very nice. smile.gif I can understand how you feel about S Sanegor. I remember first seeing him as a young foal on the front cover of our AHN, boy that was many, many years ago any way it left a lasting impression to aquire his blood. smile.gif Below a photo of my old guy by S Sanegor with dam lines to Bask smile.gif
