Hello everyone. I started this thread b/c I had asked about ZT Faa'Iq awhile back and think he's unbelievable and THE ideal Arabian. I wanted to breed a mare to him but since he's in Argentina, for me in the US, that wasn't going to happen.

SO I did the next best thing. I bought a son of ZT Faa'Iq who is out of an Ali Barba mare.
It is my understanding from my research that he is the ONLY intact Straight Egyptian son of ZT Faa'Iq here in the US. I am extremely excited about that!

I got the bloodlines I wanted all mixed into one perfect package. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/rafaa+iq

Ruminaja Ali, Jamilll, Magidaa, Bint Magidaa, Hanan, Ali Barba, Alidaar and Alidaarlin, to name a few of my favorites.

His name is Rafaa'Iq.

He is just coming three years old and I have many plans for this boy in the show ring and breeding barn. Although at this time I don't plan to breed him to my mares til 2010.

I do not have professional photo's of him yet but I hope to in the spring when he's shed out his winter coat and grown some more.

I think there might be another ZT Faa'IQ son in the US unless he has been recently sold.
JAHANGIR PR (ZT Faa'IQ x Shamalia El Masr)
Owned by Marion Murphy

Congrats on your new boy!

Barb, I love that wild man hair too. His mane is very very thick and lush. A woman would be jealous of all his hair. biggrin.gif It will be a challenge to keep it nice and confined in the show ring. But I too personally love his wild hair. It lends him character.

Thanks on the information for the other stallions. I am checking these out.
Ive got a phone call in to Jahangir's owner to the status of their boy.
Ma Solar is for sale and still intact at this time.
Anyone know what information there is on Faaiqs Java? I couldn't find anything besides the Al Khamsa site.

I know that Sneferu had just been gelded before I did my search for a colt.

The difference with Ra Faa'iq is that his dam has the great Ali Barba breeding that isn't common here in the US. biggrin.gif

Thank you Tous. I think he'll just get better too as he ages. smile.gif

LMKE, I too want a picture of ZT Jamdusah. I have been doing searches and can't find a picture. I tried to contact the Count myself but the website seems to be gone.

Perhaps someone reading this can help.

ZT Jamdusah is owned by Zichy-Thyssen Arabians
in Argentina and, like all sE mares, of this farm was bred
to sE stallions but also to stallions of other bloodlines.

Her most successful daughters were by Ruminaja Bahjat.
ZT Rumidusah (R. Bahjat x ZT Jamdusah) gave birth to
the well-known ZT Rumifantasy (by ZT Shakfantasy), who
was Junior Champion Filly of Merrist Wood/GB in 2002.

ZT Rumidusah's fullsister ZT Bahmdusa is the dam of
ZT Assdad (by Assad by Ansata Halim Shah) who is the
successor of her dam at ZT Arabians.

ZT Jamdusah's daughter ZT Mirqaash (by Imperial Madheen)
was exported to Italy and stood at Alfabia Stud where she
gave birth to, among others, Alfabia Kharafa (by Ansata Halim Bay) in 2006.

ZT Jamdusah's youngest daughter is ZT Magdusah (by AB Magnum),
still with Zichy-Thyssen Arabians.

ZT Jamdusah's only active son in the breeding barn is ZT Faa'iq.
Her other son, ZT Atishe (by El Shaklan) didn't breed on.

Oliver, thank you so much for these wonderful pictures - she is a true beauty!

I must confess that I am a huge fan of these Jamil-bloodlines but I just was not aware that she is still breeding!

I too thank you Oliver for these wonderful pictures AND a bit about the offspring!

This is a truly spectacular line to have in our Arabians.

I love the pictures of ZT Faaiq as they are two I've not seen before.

Thank you so much Oliver!

Good Morning Charity,
Took a look at you new stallion's pedigree and enjoyed Oliver's pictures of ZT Faa iq's dam. Very excited for you and hope you bring him to the EE 2009 so I can see him. Being a fan of Zaafarana his pedigree holds great interest - that tail female of his is full of horses that I look for in a pedigree.
Time will tell, but he's nicely line bred, I would anticipate him breeding fairly consistently which I'm sure was part of his appeal when you initially thought about getting him.
Best Wishes,
Jacque

Charity..........I also hope you bring him to the EE. It would be nice to see him.
I know that you treasure his line to AliBarba, but I treasure the sire line, especially with that line to *Jamilll up close.
