I saw on the Arabian Flashlights this note: Non-ECAHO affiliated * UAE affilaited 'Silver' show
Does anyone know why this is not an ECAHO Show? The entries, owners, handlers, judges, ring steward, photographer, and DCs seemed to be from the usual ECAHO personnel and the points system seemed to be the same as well. Is it because the rules for the conduct of the classes are different and if so, in what way? Less strict welfare rules, or stricter rules? Is it because there was big prize-money and if yes, what were the prizes? And what does 'UAE affiliated Silver show' mean - affiliated to which organisation? Presumably none of the previously non-qualified (younger) horses will have qualified for any ECAHO title shows which require qualifications?
Just interested to know what the benefits are of a show like this, as opposed to an ECAHO-affiliated show, and if there are any other similar 'major' non-ECAHO shows in this region or elsewhere in the world as well?
