Hello Leigh,

sorry to take so long but I was hoping someone would have a better picture! It seems not, so I'll post the one and only one I have even though it is not very good. It was taken over 30 years ago, with not really suitable camera equipment and downhill - but it seems to be the only one! Sorry but I was a young girl at the time and only just getting interested in Arabians (and just started taking photographs).

The only information I can tell you is, Morisca had only three foals, all fillies: Mirwana (1971) by Maquillo (imp. to Germany in utero), Mohena (1972) by Hadban Enzahi and Mohana (1975) by Shaker el Masri. Both Mirwana and Mohana were sold to Switzerland, I think they both bred on (Mohana at least did). Mohena lived to the age of 30, as far as I know; she had 12 foals altogether, the best ones by El Shaklan of course including Sanadik El Shaklan and El Mokari.
I don't know why Morisca only had only 3 foals, I can only guess she died young.

Hope this is of some help!

Betty

I'm sorry to correct you (and thank you for the picture) but Morisca V gave 9 foals of which 3 in Germany and 6 in Switserland.
Her last foal was Mulan by Shah Jehan, born 1981.

@Sigrid: Thanks for the info!
I knew Morisca's two daughters went to Switzerland (I saw them both there) but not that she herself went there as well. I only checked the German stud book CD which unfortunately doesn't give any information on exports and/or deaths.
