We are looking for (digital) photos of:

SADIKA - the dam of Esta-Ghalil (1985) by Ibn Estasha
WARANDES HINDIA - the dam of Aica (1987) by Ibn Estasha

These mares are the two granddams of Elizja (1991), who is the dam of Khidar.

We are expecting a foal by Khidar out of our Golden Cross mare (S: Ibn Estopa, D: Oml Camila Estopa - Carmargue x Bint Estopa) and we would like to complete the 4-generation pedigree of this foal in (as many as possible) photos.

Therefore, all photos of these two mares are very welcome - here on the forum or by e-mail to: info@valinor.nl.

Many thanks in advance!
Caroline Reynders, the Netherlands

Hi Caroline

it took me a long time to get pics of Sadika, I just found 1 when she was on a show in NL. She was born in S, sold to G, NL, UK where she died. She is by Saudi by Dardir x Sake out of Scheherazade by Excelsior x Lalage pure polish, very sucessfull racing breed.
She had a couple of very sucsessful offspring, some of them fullsiblings like:
Esta-Espashan Belg. Nat. Champ.
Esta-Ghalil Champ.
S.N.Shadek, Ital.Nat.Champ. and multiple Champ.later on leased to England where he together with the english born AZ Sadik and RAS Siska was part of the best bred familiy at the british nationals in 1996, dam of them all: the beautiful Sadika.

S.N.Shadek is now in Hungary and breeding stallion for El Luwanaya Arabians.

Kihdars dam is Elizja by Esta Ghalil.
Have to do it first smaller. will send it later on.
Christina

Hi Christina,
Thanks a lot for all the trouble you took with the info and the pictures - we highly appreciate it !!!
I´ve immediately put the photos into the pedigree.
We have been visiting Arab shows for some 20 years now, but that was mainly national until a couple of years ago. So we have missed out quite a lot on seeing the development of these international lines in the flesh - which we consider to be a great pity.
We have been breeding international show dogs (Rough Collies) since 1985, and we are now going to try our hand with Arabs, subject of my lifelong adoration ever since my early childhood involvement with mainly dressage ponies and -horses.
As we cannot turn back time, the only option to get as much info as possible on the ancestors of the lines we are mainly interested in, is by reading all we can about the breed and studying their photos. Videos would even be better, but there are hardly any available of the earlier horses. We know that photos can be deceiving, but as going out to see them in real life is impossible when the horse involved is no longer among the living, this is the best we can do - and we are very greatful for your help in this!
Best regards,
Caroline
