Hi,
Sorry Birgit but Ansata Regina has nothing to do with Ansata El Wazirs pedigree! Wazir is by Tohotmos x Ansata Bint Sameh (Sameh x Futna) Dahmah Shawanieh / Farida line - fam.
He was born in 1971, 23 january.

Dear Bart
The photos are precious. I hope I am correct that Ansata Jezebel is the dam of Ansata Ibn Shah who in turn is the sire of the full siblings Ansata El Salaam and Ansata Sharifa, who is in your care? Do you ever came across photos of Ansata Ibn Shah?

In the book they said that his owners were Mr.Bill Notley & Mrs.Betty Notley and doughter Rainy Notley......Raintree Egyptian Stud, Oregon[Newberg] .....do they still breed arabians today?.....and Wazir's trainer in those day's ...Debi Jensen...is she still working with horses?....... she was verry good with the stallion ,it really looked so natural ....he looked happy with his work ......... I believe he really was a absolute 100% friendly and smart horse.

An American Breeder

Appears someone wants to know about the past -- I would guess to fill in the blanks and know of breeders in the past.
"In the book they said that his owners were Mr.Bill Notley & Mrs.Betty Notley and doughter Rainy Notley......Raintree Egyptian Stud, Oregon[Newberg] .....do they still breed arabians today?.....and Wazir's trainer in those day's ...Debi Jensen...is she still working with horses?....... she was verry good with the stallion ,it really looked so natural ....he looked happy with his work ......... I believe he really was a absolute 100% friendly and smart horse."
Here goes, to the best of my memory: Bill and Betty Notley divorced; the horses were split up and sold - they had a very nice grey Ibn Hafiza son from a Morafic daughter who never got the chance he deserved too. Wazir ended up finally with some people in either Oregon or Washington who really loved him (or so it would from their ads and letters to editors ) and he lived out his days with them.
Raintree Egyptian Stud also went and is now the home of Arabian owners/trainers Russ Brown and his wife, the granddaughter of S Watts Smythe, Cross-U-Bar Ranch in Wyoming. They bred some wonderful Crabbet horses. Jane Schroeder inherited that ranch and later sold it and moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area and her daughter Mary Jane became an Arabian trainer and is now married to Russ Brown.
When it was the Raintree Egyptian Stud the entrance was a grassy area marked with tall flag poles with flags from a number of countries having Egyptian Arabians.
Debi Jensen had quite a repore with Wazir but it was Betty Notley's daughter who rode Wazir in the Portland Rose Parade with no bridle, just a neck rope. The pictures are packed away but I believe I still have a photo of that. For awhile after that Ms Jensen was in Texas at a farm with Egyptians but since that time, years ago, I have no idea where she is now.

hoi,
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!....
photo's are great and beautiful! .........but not the main question ......
An American Breeder ...Thanks for the mindbreaking.... memory digging ...hard work!
I know that the daughter [Rainy Notley] rode the stallion ,but when they made the book she had a broken leg and that's why Debi Jensen had to show him and ...ride him for the book so they could make photo's.... with also just a neck rope ....BEAUTIFUL PICTURES ..... outside in the fields where the mares were grazing ,she rode him with indeed just a neck rope ....what a wonderful and friendly horse... to bad the Notley Family broke up and that the horses were sold ,they were doing a great job with the breeding program back then.....to bad!...thanks again!!!!!

Hello Forum...there is another discussion about Futna in the forum and specific mention is made to the three horses that were produced by Ansata Bint Sameh. One of those horses was the stallion Ansata El Wazir (sired by *Tuhotmos). I found some pictures of this horse, including some of the pictures that I had mentioned of him being ridden bridleless and with no saddle too.
Enjoy!

I saw that book with the pictures of Wazir. I picked it up by chance in the library of our little village of Petitcodiac and it blew me away. I couldn't believe it would be there. There were several pages with the most wonderful pictures of Wazir being ridden bareback with only the neck rope. I never forgot it. What a beautiful horse and it just goes to show what you can do with our wonderful arabian horses.

I just dicovered this web site and this forum. Just to update, I do own a daughter of Ansata El Wasir. She is now 21 and looks and acts far younger. As I mentioned, this is just to add to thread.
