Shahcago

26/03/1994
Bey Shah+ x Gioiella by SX Saladin

Pedigree Research

Shahcago is a superbly bred stallion with a fine show record and great future as a breeding stallion. At the 1997 Scottsdale show he placed second in the very competitive three year old colt class. In 1995, as a yearling, he was named a junior champion at halter, a Buckeye Top Eight Yearling Colt, and the Region 15 Champion Sweepstakes Colt.

Shahcago is a full brother to US Top Ten Futurity filly, TW Bey Fantaishah, a ¾ brother to US National Champion Futurity Filly Liberty Bey C, to US Top Ten Futurity Filly Liberty Belle C, and the halter champions and National winner sires Saber Bey and Bengal Bey. He is also closely related to Canadian Top Ten Futurity Colt Genesis C. Remarkably, 26 of the 29 horses in the first four generations of his pedigree have produced National winners.

Shahcago is by US Reserve Champion Stallions Bey Shah+, who needs little introduction as he is the breed’s leading sire of National winners in halter. Bey Shah+’s National Champion get include US National Champion Stallion Fame VF+, and the US National Champion Mares Gaishea, Shahteyna, and Bey Teyna, all of them National winners producers. Shahteyna & Bey Teyna are from the same dam line as Shahcago. Bey Shah+ sons are proving to be superb breeding stallions. Eighteen have already sired National winners, including National Champions in halter and western pleasure and top ten winners in hunter pleasure and country pleasure.

Bey Shah+ comes from generations of National winners himself, as his sire Bay El Bey++ is a Canadian National Champion Stallion and his paternal grandsire Bay Abi++ is a US National Champion Stallion. Bey Shah+ is a maternal grandson of US National Champion Stallion and Park *Bask++, the breed’s all time leading sire of champions, and of Canadian National Champion mare Llana++.

>Shahcago’s dam is line is as powerful as his sire line. His dam Gioiella is by Canadian Reserve National Champion SX Saladin, a son of the all-time leading Crabbet sire *Serafix and Cobah, dam of 3 National Champions. All four of SX Saladin’s grandparents produced National Champions is halter and/or performance. A great breeding stallion must have a great tail female line, and Shahcago’s is one of the most significant in the breed. His granddam Safaari is linebred to Skowronek and is a double granddaughter of Sureyn, sire of 19 National winners including US National Champion Stallion Mujahid++, US National Champion Mare MI Fanci++, and US National Champion Mare Surita and US National Champion English and Western Pleasure Sur Neet++, the latter two full siblings to Safaari’s dam Surima, one of the breed’s leading broodmares with 6 champions. All of Safaari’s grandparents produced National winners. Her maternal granddam Bonita produced 8 Champions. This is the tail female line of all of the mares of the 1934 Draper group from Spain, one of the breed’s most influential importations. Shahcago actually has 3 lines to the mares imported by the Drapers, through *Nakkla, *Meca, and *Barakat, all found in the pedigree of his dam.

Few young stallions have a heritage like that of SHAHCAGO!s

Well, superb breeding, like anything else is certainly in the eye of the beholder. The name of this site is STRAIGHTEGYPTIANS.COM, in case that was overlooked. People generally come here to discuss, guess what?, Straight Egyptians. There are DOZENS of forums better suited to the promotion of the 'general population' Arabian.

Without wanting to offend it. cool.gif
Perhaps in Arabia, has not bought to integrate in its programs some of those Arabians, al which You call "general Polution"?

I believe that is a forum with plenty of liberty to express what each one feels. In final, all here we try to show the affection by the Arabian Horse.

I think that Aleksi and Oliver should put limits in this forum if only will be a matter of Straightegyptians. It does not seem? <_<

I understand its anxiety. wink.gif

FIrst of all, thanks so much for the information and photo's, much appreciated!
Second of all, ok so he's not "straight" but he is still Arabian yes? The reason I asked about him in this forum is because USUALLY people are more friendly and helpful than on other forums. It's always my number one choice of place to go when I have a question. At the end of the day, straight this pure that, they are all still Arabian and that is what we are all supposed to have in common here - our love and admiration for the Arabian horse. gbfahne.gif

I only have Egyptian-related in my program, so maybe I shouldn't be here, but have to say that most of the stright egyptian breeders also breed related. And Bey Shah and others mentioned are used by many of them.. I just went on the Al Shaqab Stud site and saw that the beautiful stallion "Marwan Al Shaqub" by Gazal Al Shaqub is out of Little Liza Fame by Fame VF, who is by Bey Shah. i don't see why it would matter since all arabians come from the stright egyptian( Desert Bred) anyway.

Hi nwind,

Sorry but I think that you are wrong. This forum has never in my opinion been for the discussions of SE arabians only not since the forum has returned and not before the site had problems. In fact if the site was based entirely on SE's it would definately be very small in comparison to what it is, which would probably make it less popular. I don't know whether anyone else feels the same but something has changed here at this forum, there seem to be many regulars missing from here and since the forum has returned there seems to be a distinct prejudice towards non SE horses from several posters which was not here before. I think that people like this forum in particular because it is so international, people talk here from all over the world, where 'as on other forums the posts tend to be based in there own area of the world. Please don't spoil it!

Stella,

I couldn't agree with you more. I think this forum is the best without a doubt when it comes to Arabian horses.
It is, on the whole, very friendly and a great place to come to for learning and to ask questions.
Like you, I think what makes it so good is it attracts people from all over the world, unlike other forums I have visited. You are right in saying if it were only SE's discussed, the visitors would be a lot less. The fact that all bloodlines are discussed makes it a better place to learn about all Arabians, which at the end of the day, is what they are, ARABIAN, regardless of pedigree.
It is nice to know there are others who can recognize a good horse when they see one, and not be so "blinkered" or biased. I come on here mainly to learn about SE's but that is not to say I don't like to learn or hear more about all the other Arabians. I for one would not visit as often as I do were it only SE's discussed. I like the variety contained within this forum! gbfahne.gif

I agree with Stella, too. I visit this forum every day and always find it entertaining and educational. I don't think discussion should be limited just to straight egyptians. I, for one, am interested in hearing about Arabians of all bloodlines.

hi all
i have a confesion to make blink.gif until i started to read all the opinions and got to see so many pics of great staight egyptians and related stock i was really anti straight egyptian as i had seen very few good SE in australia most i have seen lack in movement and hindquater ( there are some lovely ones and i have made a bigger effort to see the good ones lately) it was because of the open and sharing attatude on this list that i have seen the light as it were! i hope the list continues to discuss any interesting topic even if it is not related to a SE horse as this is what makes this the best forum to be on. cheers jo

Dear Tania,

I believe simply that You cannot let integrate this forum, by messages of people whom they truely do not love the Arabian Horse.
I understand that this site is for the SE.com, but we met friends of the Arabian Horse here (of all parts of the world) to share and to debate on them. For that reason this forum is considered by many.
I believe that we would have to leave of side the idiot messages and to dedicate to us to enjoy the true messages.

Hurrah SE.com ! biggrin.gif

Spirit !!! to all those that have decided not to participate in this forum and specially to Journey, Magnum1 and Tania more. rolleyes.gif

Let us support to SE.com and the Arabian Horse! wub.gif

Best Regards,

Marianella,

I couldn't agree with you more on that. I've met many wonderful friends through this forum, who I would not have met otherwise, had they just been interested in Straights. I've had a few people say to me that if the topics were just about Straight Egyptians, they would not visit the forum as they are interested in Arabians as a whole. I think the variety and freedom of speech offered here on this forum, is what makes it what it is - in my opinion the best site for Arabians on the entire Internet. wink.gif

As so many other bloodlines to trace back to some SE's, I don't see why non straights should not be discussed. It can be very interesting and informative. Liz Salmon

excuse me i happen to know his breeders personally and take offense at the statement that superb breeding is in the eye of be holder these people have bred for years one mare they bred had produced 2 national champion mares and they're the nicest approachable people you'll ever have the chance to meet . Bey shah horses are known for their spirit and always flag their tails up way up. and if by chance he was gingered don't blame the breeder blame the owner . his 2 full sisters are with lenita perroy owner of Ali Jamaal who is 1/2 egyptian through ruminaja ali and bey el Jamaal is a result of that breeding BARB yest it is a straight egyptian forum

but if you take offence to this thread why did you come on this you could have just omottied this thread and gone on to read about straight egyptians. sad.gif

well said BARB

and the 3rd sister is with her breeders and had a wonderful black bay colt by QR Excel these people are very conciencious and would not have kept him as a stallion just because he was a bey shah son . sorry i forgot to mention that BARB
