Show season competition

To mark the arrival of a new show season, The Arabian Magazine is launching a new competition, which will run from this issue through to 30 September 2006.

With generous prizes, courtesy of StraightEgyptians.com, Ivy Media Productions, Paula Fenton Portraits, The Arabian Emporium, Bachir Bserani, Wolff Photography and The Arabian Magazine, the competition is well worth entering.

All you have to do is send in a photo of yourself (with or without your horse) reading a copy of The Arabian Magazine. You could be sitting on your horse, about to go into a class, down at the stables, trekking across the hills or on top of a mountain – the choice is yours and the more unusual the setting, the better!

A panel will choose the winning entry after 30 September and the winner will receive:

• A two-month promotional banner (including design and artwork) on StraightEgyptians.com
• An Ivy Media Productions video or DVD of the winner’s choice
• An commissioned animal portrait by Paula Fenton Portraits
• A basket of show products from The Arabian Emporium
• Vouchers from Simple System, simple equine nutrition
• A signed book, Authentic Arabian Horse Names by Bachir Bserani
• A set of original, signed photographs taken by Erwin Wolff of Wolff Photography
• A free, full-page colour advert in The Arabian Magazine.

There will also be a number of runners-up prizes. Some entries will be displayed on the website: www.thearabianmagazine.com.

To enter, either e-mail your photos to info@thearabianmagazine.com or send them to: The Arabian Magazine Competition, Ivy Cottage, The Street, Hardwick, Norwich, Norfolk, NR15 2AB, UK. Please ensure that you include your full name and postal address with your entry.




Competition rules:

1. A maximum of five entries is allowed per person
2. All entrants must be subscribers to The Arabian Magazine
3. Those donating prizes are allowed to enter although they will not be considered among the final entries
4. The judges’ decision is final
5. The Arabian Magazine does not take responsibility for any photos that go missing in the post
6. Photos will not be returned, so please ensure that you have your own copy
7. Entry into the competition entitles The Arabian Magazine to publish your photo in future issues of the magazine, on the website or in other related media
8. Entrants’ names will be published alongside their photos
9. The winner and runners-up will be notified in writing by 31 October 2006
10. No cash alternatives to the prizes will be offered.
