Hello Everyone....

I noticed a thread on another Arabian horse forum and thought I would copy it and post to our friends on Straight Egyptians.com So with that said........
We would like to invite one and all to our Open House on May 13th. The agenda includes; the new foals of 2006, *Kenz Noor's first public appearance, stallion presentation, pasture walk with the mares and foals...and don't forget, *Parys El Jamaal will be expecting carrots for himself and his ladies at his pasture.

Something else that is going to be fun, is that we will have a seminar on the European Judging system. Following, we will then have a horse show with the MBA horses. There will be 2 classes (fillies and colts). The" judges" will be picked from the guests that are attending!! This will be a great time for learning and then applying the scores to actual horses. A fun time for sure!!!

Also, Judy Norquist has been working on an amazing scuplture of all 3 of the Al Shaqab stallions and it will be unveiled in a special presentation... plus food and drinks for all...

Also a neat little trivia question.... Where did the 2006 Champion and Reserve Champion Scottsdale Signature Stallion class colts come from????

Answer... Michael Byatt Arabians!!! Purchased at last years Open House.

Visit our website www.michaelbyattarabians.com for info and please R.S.V.P....limited reservations available....

Thanks to all,

Robert

Hey Robert, and all those at MBA,
What fun! An Amateur show with the European System! That should be a real "trip" as most of us haven't been fortunate enough to see a "real" show in Europe and how they do things over there. I was told years ago that I hadn't seen a horse show till I saw one in Europe. My first educational show was in Aachen, Germany and I was amazed. They came bursting out the door into the arena with the music blaring, and the handlers and horses were trucking down the side-wall pumping like crazy; your hair was standing up on your arms and there was so much hootin' and hollerin' going on and everyone was having such a good time! Horse, after horse, came trucking through that door, it was breathtaking! Neat thing was, they spent a tiny amount of time standing up the horses, no more than 2 minutes, and there they were off again, trucking around the arena (by the way, it was one horse at a time) The show was so fast paced and exciting, you certainly didn't have time to go to the bathroom or snooze. I was spoiled after that and coming back to see our US shows was (Yawn) so boring.............

Oops, me again,
I forgot to add something............ This can be really a neat experience as most of us don't know anything about the European judging system. It's different, but I think very fair and it seems to work very well over there. I'm glad Michael has the fortitude (to keep it clean, ha ha) to show people how this system works. And remember, this is the system they intend to use in Vegas 2007. Maybe we'll all learn something.

Thanks for the invitation Robert and I certainlly am looking forward to joining the fun again! Last year's open house was great and the hospitality was A-plus superior! I can only imagine that this year's event will be even better with a European judging seminar, show, and all the horse presentations. I can't wait to see all the new Al Adeed foals.

I agree with Carolyn that the European style of showing is much more exciting. Having had the opportunity to go to the Salon with Carolyn in '04, I think the intensity, excitement and way the handlers show their horses more freely sure makes you enjoy the show so much more. I am really looking forward to the show in Vegas in '07 but for now it is onward to Michael Byatt Arabians for OPEN HOUSE time!

See you there, and I can't wait! Robin and Andy already have our little houses reserved! I think I'm one of the few people in the world who has never seen Ghazal in person.

Sure sounds like a fun event. smile.gif
