Few days ago, Oriental Image took place as it has been two times in the past at Lago de Garda ,Italy.
This event is like no other. As you probably know it is two day event dedicated to the Egyptian horses and to celebrate its beauty . Actually, they are two days of absolute pleasure and cheer enjoyment where you meet the most wonderful people , see extremely nice Straight Egyptians coming from Europe ,and other parts of the world. This time there were horses from Egypt , UAE, Israel and many more countries.
The organizing committee went out its way to create an amazing showcase appreciate to the creature that is being honored.
Horses were presented in the afternoon in a very casual and relaxed atmosphere and then in the evening in a very glamorous manner along with a most wonderful dinner . The light effects, blended with fog and laser beams created a mystical atmosphere .
The entertainment was so appropriate and exotically wrapped the "Oriental Image".
I hope that next year you will all come and experience yet another saga in the long history of the Egyptian Horses.
Here are some impressions that I would like to share with you.

Oh, Oh....my husband and I talked seriously about attending this year, and in the end just couldn't make it.

Look what a wonderful event we missed. We will NOT make the same mistake next year!

Congratulations to all who must have worked extremely hard to put on such a fabulous show. I know very well how much time, effort, imagination, and just plain hard work go into such productions!

Salut!! Bravo! biggrin.gif

You all are very kind. .I really appreciate your kin remarks and I feel so gratified that my photos were well accepted.
Taking them was a great pleasure. I enjoyed the whole of the two days an Th amazing presentation in the evenings were so inviting that I just took hundreds of pix. The digital camera offered me the opportunity to see the photo that I just taken instantly. I could tell that they were going to be nice. I had to to do some adjustments to compensate for sometimes what could be described as challenging light setting against the black background of the night.
I am quite satisfied with the results.

Simonetta you were fabulous. The choice of costume and the elegance of Alaa Eldine were breathtaking under the glittering lights ,fog, color and superb music.

As for the other two horses, yeas the Grey older stallion is Simoen Sharav and the young grey colt is his son , Tammam Albadeia. However, I purposely omitted mentioning name because this thread is dedicated to The Oriental Image and the people behind it and is not meant to be a promotion for any horse.
Obviuosly ,I used these two horses more than any others as my models !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Thanks for your comments.

Dear Dr. Nasr:

Please don't take this as an offence. It was always hard for me to decide if you are better as a breeder or as a photographer. Now I have come to a conclusion. Both has something to do with art and you are just an excellent artist in every way. My respect and my congratulations.

It was a very nice show and two beautiful nights, many thanks to the organiser and his team Mr. Galba .
The photos from Nasr are a dream. Mary did a very hard job.

I want to "bump up" this thread as I truly believe the Arabian industry (world wide) needs more such celebratory events to showcase the Arabian horse--and offer attendees the chance for pure enjoyment of the horse and its beauty, rather than the stress often associated with judged shows.

Thank you once again for these beautiful photos. smile.gif

Allison...I agree ! Maybe we should think about organizing something similar on this side of the pond. ( wouldn't Botwana love it? )
Dr. Marei... I don't think I've ever seen photos taken with such a sensitive and artistic eye. Thank you so much ! (from one artist to another)

Dear Nasr,
you know so well that I am the BIGGEST fan for yours as far as your horses are concerned and also, for your photos, so I have to agree in full with Karin commnets about the photos you did during the Oriental Image, in this respect I have seen in the last issue of TUTTO ARABI that the organizers have already planned for 2007 another edition and the dates are 29th and 30th of June.
Talking about TUTTO ARABI, I would like to recommend all our friends here, the latest issue, March April, there is in this issue a HUGE, FANTASTIC report that you wrote Nasr, dedicated to the wonderful Land of Egypt, to ASWAN area and the article contains a group of EXTREMELY WONDERFUL photos, full of athmosphere, poetry, dream and.....soul! I am so happy that TUTTO ARABI and also DESERT HERITAGE continue to publish frequently your photos, and the articles you have dedicated to Egypt , they are fantastic not only because they show us images of a wonderful Land full of history and beauties but mostly because these beautiful places are seen through the eyes (and camera) of an Egyptian and a great photographer and artist. Very well done, Nasr I can not tell you which one of these photos I love more (......ALL..... smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif wink.gif ),
I wont to forget also in the same issue of TUTTO ARABI an article interview dedicated to AL BADEIA, and there....for the joy and happiness (and dream) of your friends and fans, photos of your horses in particular fantastic 2006 foals.
Thanks Nasr, for sharing your art (both the art of breeding and the art of photography) through the pages of Tutto Arabi and Desert Heritage and, last but not least, throug this site.
Your fan no. 1 Paolita (and fan nr. 2 Farida) smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif wink.gif wink.gif

Dear Paolita,
Your words are too generous and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continuous support and encouragements.
Being a great artist yourself, it so gratifying to hear your comments about my photographic techniques.
I am also very grateful to the family of Tutto Arabi and the Desert Heritage , specially Simone Leo and Gig for providing me a venue in which I can share my photos with out community of Arabian horse lovers.
"Asawn" was my latest expose . I will be working on a new project for another near-future article. That will be my fifth in the series.
Thanks again Paolita. Love to you, family and Farida , the princess Rome !!!

Dear Nasr,

thanks for posting the article photos, so our friends here can see their beauty! I recommend to look for this issue of Tutto Arabi because in addition to these photos, there is a very nice interesting article and sure and many of our friends here know that Tutto Arabi has also the English translation of all the article, the magazine is becoming more and more beautiful and interesting and I appreciate a lot the editoria choice to put also articles related to beautiful places that are linked to the history of Arabian Horses and so the choice of publishing your articles is very good indeed!!!!
The ''Princess of Rome'' thank you very much for the royal title you gave to her and she eagerly waiting to meet you in June smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

Paolita

p.s. I am not specialised in landscape paintings, you know that my specialties are horses and dogs....but would like so much to be able to turn into a painting one of these fantastic landscapes......they are so inspiring!!!!! (never say never......!!!!!!!!)
