I don't know if it was Kind Estate who bought these horses.
I think Adam and David were overy there buying for clients. I don't know for sure,
but this is just what I have heard.
link to where horses were sold www.prideofpoland.pl/pl/
As you can see many of the horses are coming to Australia, which is very exciting for breeders and enthusiasts here down under. It's one of the places I would go shopping if I had the money. And many of these horses have proved their soundness from being tested on the track which is great.

Unfortunately I don't know who they were buying for or if they were buying for themselves. The only other stud which comes to mind is Coolinda Park as they breed pure polish Arabians. But I don't know.
Time will tell I guess. I just think that its wonderful that these horses are coming to Oz. I wish them and their new owners the best of luck. I hope to meet some of them. Adam has a very good eye, so I'm sure they will have picked out good ones (although it'd be hard not to as they all look pretty wonderful to me!) Hopefully they we will be able to view them at an open day or even better in the showring.
Cheers

I wish the Aussie buyers and breeders all the best. They truly ended up with the creme de la creme of the sale and I would be lying if I didn't say I was green with envy

. 13 lots including Hula and Gehenna and the stunning boys Wiliam and Espadero. I'd be in horse heaven if I could have that level of quality in my barn. The genetic prepotence of the dam line on most of the horses they bought brings much promise and potential.
Good Luck!

I think most of the mares are in foal too, so possible more stallions of this breeding later on. Ihope one of them at least will be offered at public stud.
Wiliam's sire Endel looks gorgeous as does he.
Hopefully Adam will be able to show some of them too.

The buyer is from Bali (Indonesia) where he owns some hotels. He will send the horses to Australia.
Sorry that many people are so not well informed about Poland event.

Richard wrote "And between us, breeding Pure Polish not being in Poland is an invitation to fail.... "
That nasty and offensive remark displays astonishing bias, ignorance and stupidity. It is just plain wrong. Or are you just jealous? Maybe you have failed, but others around the world have not. The fact is that breeders large and small all over the world who have done their homework - in USA, South America, the Middle East countries, Britain, Sweden, and many other countries in Europe - have bred countless top quality "pure Polish" horses, as well as outright champions - in halter, ridden showing, racing and endurance - from their imported Polish horses. That's like saying you can't breed Crabbets outside UK, Spanish outside Spain, Russian outside Russia, SE outside Egypt, American outside USA and so on.

Please, folks, do not understand it wrongly...
It tried to say that even if you bred very good PP outside Poland the final result will never considered the same PP if they were bred in Poland. Money terms.
I explain: this buyer could buy better PP horses outside Poland (and buy better stallions than Espadero and William) but he bought all the aura of buying in Poland (and paid the bill for it).
In the future, when he will show the "filly" by Espadero out of Gehenna, he will be 8th at her class and when he decides to sell her, the market will pays some money (like 15.000 US$) on her.
Very easy to understand my point now. Or not?

What Richard said is very true, it is very easy to get caught up in the hype of the Auction. The fact they these horses do come from the Polish studs will cary some weight for some time, particularly in a county like Australia, but the reality is horses of equal quality and pedigree could have been purchased else where for a fraction of the price If this buyer is knew to Arabians, I feel a little concerned as he will have a hard time recouping his money.
He would have been better investing this money in Straight Egyptians IMO.

Well you are all crackers ???
Richard
You can breed a beautiful horse wether its a SE or a PP anywhere in the world.
How ever no one can have the knoledge or understanding of what and how to breed there own types of Arabian in there respective countries.
So yes the Polish will breed better PP more consistantly and the middle east will breed more SE consistantly.
there were actually 3 buyers from oz
Emrod is most defiantly not going to oz or bali
As usual people speak rubbish about stuff they do not understand as they were not there and are passing on 3rd hand info.

I think I would agree. Way back when Lasma was in its heyday, they bought a mare I think it was Jingle Bell at a Friendship Farms auction. They resold this mare in their own auction for quite a bit more money. No doubt they could do the same with any horse at that time and of that era.
Even today I think a good resale price of progeny and a good placing at the shows would result if the person buying these excellent horses at the Polish auction already has fame money and reputation. I would like to think I am wrong, but the little guy has a tough time of it.

What is PURE POLISH, can someone explain that? When I breed my mare born in Poland and exported to Germany to a straight Egyptian stallion what do I get? A "pure Polish" foal or an "Egyptian ired" foal?
When the Polish studs use the straight Egyptian stallions Laheeb and Al Maraam on their mares they still poducing "pure polish" horses in Poland! So waht is a pure polish horse other than an Arabian BRED in Poland....?!?!

I really do not understand this discussion at all .
If people buy the type of arabian horse they do prefer,
wherever it may be , why critizising that.
At previous auctions high prices have been paid as well,
sometimes even higher, mostly from US buyers.
If it is wise from the "business" , point of view, maybe not,
but I strongly hope, breeding arabians still for some
people has something to do with passion, personal
preferences, and not only looking at the purchase
of horses from the "return on investment" standpoint.
I myself have been wondering , if the gap between
5.000.- Euro and 180.000.- Euro has been justified
by the differences in quality of horses/pedigrees
concerned. On the other hand, there always is
a market value and a "personal" value, and
sometimes these two DO differ.

The State Studs of Poland run an open breeding program. They choose the horses they wish to use. They are not bound by definitions of foundation stock or prior breeding programs. They do seek to perserve both sire and dam lines and in that sense they are a preservationist breeding group.
Korona, the Polish Breeders Organization, has defined Pure Polish to mean any horse bred by one of the Polish State Studs, or any horse that descends in all lines from a horse bred by one of the Polish State Studs or a stallion used in the Polish State Studs who bred on in Poland through either a son or a daughter.
LAHEEB is now considered a Pure Polish stallion of course he remains a Straight Egyptian stallion. MONOGRAMM and GAZAL AL SHAQAB are also now considered Pure Polish stallions even though they were not Pure Polish before they were used in Poland.
The value Polish breeders place in the offspring of the Polish State Studs is that they are horses which descend from a breeding program well over 200 years old and which been managed by skilled and dedicated horsemen for that entire time.
People come from around the World to purchase these horses because of the carefull breeding they descend from. There is no other program in the World that has this length and depth.
PILICA (Fawor X Pipi by Banat) went to Australia also.
