Hi Forum friends,

I would love to hear your comments on the stallion Imperial Pharaj.
Not his data, I have them already but I would prefer to learn more
about his conformation, type, movement, character.
I am not interested in his show record...
Anyone who saw him up-close? Paola?

Dear Oliver,

thanks for posting this beautiful photo by Nicoletta, showing the very nice head of
Imperial Pharaj - Yes I had the chance to see him closer but not very recently,
I saw him twice, in Rome during the National Ch. Show and in Verona for the
European Champ. show both events in 1999 - I have to tell you that I like this stallion,
particularly his head even more beautiful than what it's shown in this (beautiful)
photo - for the overall conformation you know that I am not the kind of expert who can
technically judge, mine is in principle a ''general harmony'' judgement, always
influenced by the ''artist eye'' I have portrayed him twice, so he is one of the horses
I like (it is difficult for me to portray horses that I .....dislike completely...)If I have to
find some faults in him, as far as I can remember from what I have seen in both
shows, this fault refer to movement , but I have also to point out that in both
shows he looked a little bit ''nervous'' and probably the movement was not so fluid,
harmonic and balanced as is the case when a horse is not so much ''agitated'' -
I had the impression also, his character is not an ''easy one''' but...this is just an impression
you can not completely and satisfactorily judge horse characters during Shows, I think
you have to see horses in a more natural, relaxing enviromment to have a full a more
exact idea about their characters and reactions. I have no other news or information, just hope these few lines could be helpful to you.

Dear Oliver,
I saw Imperial Pharaj last year at his home in italy.
The stallion seemed also very nervous when at home, he also didn't show movements, to me it looked as he has problems in his hind legs.
I also know he can be pretty dangerous as he attacked his trainer,
who found himself on the ground with the stallion right over him...
We all know that horses aren't born with such behaviour..

My englisch is not very good. I want say I'm late with reply but I agree much in part with what you told her. I saw his parents and they are good. Imperial Imdal has substance and is harmonious in body and good in type. Imperial Phanadah is for me a very good producer and my favourite producer. With much different stallion she made much champions or get they produce champions.
Get of Imperial Phanadah (in part)
Imperial Phanilah (World Champion)
Imperial Im Pharida (Egyptian Event Champion)
Imperial Im Phayanah (Paris Top Five; dam of Shahir)
Imperial Pharouk (Champion maker)
Imperial Pharaj (Champion)
I strong think Imperial Pharaj is very sensible horse and needs someone loves him alone and who understands him. He is a horse for one man not for many and not for trainers who only wants the win. Patience is what he needs but not get. Look him running wild in paddock you see how beautiful he is and how good mover.
Sorry for poor englisch but the horse deserve a denfender he is good, the circumstances not for him.

I owned the mare Imperial Mareesiy (Imp. Mahdeen x Imp. Imphayana), a big, very correct mare who produced well for me. When bred to Thee Desperado, she produced SENSAI, a very beautiful, good moving stallion who is now owned by Raingills Arabians in the UK. Before being exported, he sired three very, very good foals for me.
