Jonas S.
Hi , There should be a fullsister to the stallion Nur Ad Dine , any Informations or pics?
Thank you Jonas
geertO
she's called NOER, I saw her a few times with her breeder Mr Schreuder who still has a wonderful ET Khemal Pascha son of her and Ans El salaam son. She also has a bay dghtr by Adawi an excellent mover sold to ?. Noer should now be owned by Birkhof Stud. Noer herself is a nice solid mare, good body, nice expression... hope she can produce some good fillies to continue this fabulous Ghazala line...

Geert is correct. She is owned by Birkhof stud and IFT Malik Jamil as far as I know. I saw her this summer. She is like Geert described her. Some people call her "Bint Ayda" - I don't know what her registered name is ...

...and that's her 7/8 sister (grand-grandmother being Afifa instead of Hanan wink.gif )

Very beautiful face, typically of the Ghazalah line.
I already adored her photos under saddle - she really looks like a "classic" to me.

Thank you Geert and Dr.Wigger , maybe any pictures?

smile.gif Thanks, Oliver, yes, she is more classic than "typey" in the modern sense...
The main heritage of her famous father is: she HATES being ridden.

But she's typey and noble enough to accept her unreverential owner on her back, showing her grand affliction just in a very compassionatable face (and some sudden outbreaks of "I-need-to-run-NOW-and-you-will-not-hinder-me" - always very funny and highly appreciated in a fully crowded riding-school).

You see, I love her deeply. wub.gif

Dorothee, now I am a little bit confused. What is the name of this mare? I always thought, that Afifa was invertile. Or do you mean Alifa? But I cann't find any descendants of her sired by Salaa El Dine.

It's a bit confusing with the two German Ghazalahs. biggrin.gif
There were two Ghazal daughters with the same name:
Ghazalah out of Hanan & Ghazalah out of Afifa (by Morafic)

This mare - Ghana - stems from the Ghazalah/Afifa line.
Her dam is the Madkour I daughter Ghamada (x Ghazalah)
and was bred by Holger Ismer.

Thus making her indeed a 7/8 sister to Noer (Salaa El Dine x Ayda by Madkour I x Ghazalah out of Hanan)
Klaus
Oliver, thank you for the enlightment

...to make it easier, the Hanan-Ghazalah sometimes is called the "Nagel-Ghazalah", whereas the Afifa-Ghazalah is named "Dömken-Ghazalah". Constanze Dömken bred with her Ghamada (has anyone a photo of her???) which is dam of Ghana II (bred by Holger Ismer).

... and to make it even more confusing the Hanan-Ghazalah-daughter had a daughter named Afifa, as you all might know... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
