Are there any Al Aadeed Al Shaqab babies outside of Qatar? Is it possible to buy breedings anyway?
I know that Gazal Al Shaqab was in Poland for a while, does anyone have pictures of those babies? And I think there are some in Germany too? Is he still in Poland, and can I get breedings of him anywhere?
Sorry for all the questions

but I like these two stallions very much but it is very difficult to find out about getting breedings! I would love to know how they produce (I only know Marwan Al Shaqab, of course he is a wonderful representative)
Thank you!

I would hop to the portraits and click of Al aadeed's portrait to get in contact with his owner and would ask him directly. I am sure he doesn't bite you.

There is a young Ghazal Al Shaqab son, named Star Ghazal, here in Pennsylvania, USA, owned by Georgine Bortner. He was shown by Omni Arabians and did quite well in the show ring.
Dick, very nice picture of Marwan Al Shaqab!!

Dear Christine,
I live in Belgium and we have a bay filly by Gazal al Shaqab out of Nadija,
a 21-year-old full sister to Nadir I (Neman x Neschi)
We used frozen semen and had no problem with it.
Nadija, at that time 20 years old was only inseminated once.
We bought the breeding through Scott Allman in Germany

THANKS for sharing with us all these ''young beauties''. I can not tell you my favourite,
it could be a very difficult choice....but Naifa Al Rayyan (by RN Farida) and the
wonderful little jewel Jamila Al Rayyan are for sure those who captured my hearth
more! My photos/collection had fantastic new entries, today.....!!!!

Bart:
As you can see, already two replies in response to the beautiful pictures you posted. And like Paola and Christian have both said...WOW!!!
Ameena and Amira are especially breathtaking. I was scrolling through the photos and took my finger off the key to study the pictures of these two painfully exquisite fillies. And it seems that RN Sultana is a good nick with Al Aadeed, as Jaflah is pretty nice too.
I don't have to express my appreciation for Al Aadeed (I think everyone knows how I feel). And I am not bashful in praising this most wonderful stallion. He really is the most exciting horse we have had in a LONG, LONG, LONG time!!!! Bred to some of the best Egyptian mares in the world, the foals are STUNNING!!!
Congratulations!!! I still can't imagine what it must feel like to be you Bart! To be surrounded on a daily basis with these marvelous horses. You are a very fortunate man!

Hello Bart!
Wonderful pictures of a wonderful foal group!!
I believe all devoted horse owners know the "sleeping with only one eye closed".
My question - which you probably heard a million times before.... Will Al Adeed ever be available for outside breeding??
Will he ever come to Europe and write history as did his illustrious father?? Or will he write the history from the Middle East "only"?
All the best.

Hello all,
thank you for all the pictures, but I actually asked for Al Aadeed babies OUTSIDE of Qatar. Because as far as I can see, nobody outside of Qatar can get Al Aadeed breedings. What use is such a stallion to me if he is not available? Like Rikke said, it would be nice to know if he is going to be available to Europe sometime.
I like the Gazal Al Shaqab babies a lot, especially that cute little filly

. Does anyone in Europe still offer frozen semen of Gazal?

I love the little dark dark bay colt!
I agree with Chris, it's nice to look but very frustrating not to be able to use this stallion!
Can anyone tell me if he has been used in the non SE breeding programme? I would love to see how he stamps his stock to outcross mares.

As often said before by many many many in this forum: WHY DON'T ASK THE OWNERS IF THE STALLIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN EUROPE OR NOT?????? Their e-mail is available, their website is available why always asking others than the owners herself? I can not understand this attitude.
Rikke
Sep 11 2003, 12:24 PM
Hello Malte!
I would not like it very much to pick up the phone and ring the Emir of Qatar - if I ever was allowed to talk to him!!!
By the way - forwarding the owner is what we all normally do - but in this case it is a little - how can I express myself "superior"? I do not think there is anything wrong with asking Bart - he will be kind enough to give us all an indicating answer I suppose... And if he tells us a "no" - we will all be satisfied for a while - until Al Adeeds offspring comes bouncing the showring and wins it all.....
Anyway - what is wrong with beeing courious?? As long as it is kept positive - and regarding Al Adeed it can be nothing else but positive.
Malte
Sep 11 2003, 01:02 PM
No no, nothing is wrong! Nothing is wrong in being curious. Don't get ME wrong

but this question arises every month at least three times in this Forum. The Emir of Qatar has put his stallion Al Aadeed into the portraits and you can feel free to contact his farm. His studmanager Sheikh Hamad is so very kind and will probably answer all questions to you. Isn't it the best way to ask the person who is in charge?

Hello Malte!
I believe you are right, but I have not seen this being discussed earlier - sorry if I brought a healed wound open
I just enjoy seeing all the good news here at the forum - a wonderful flash would be to hear Al Adeed being available to public breeding - could you imagine the impact he would have???
Let us wait and see if Mr. Van Buggenhout has something to add - even a recent picture of Al Adeed - or A. Hejazi for that sake could make the day!!!

I read a discussion about Al Adeed on the old forum, and I remember some people stating that they had mailed Sheik Al Thani, but never got any answer. I once mailed, not about Al Adeed, something else, but I never got an answer either. Perhaps it is not as easy as you think to reach him!

Yes, Al Aadeed has covered several non-straight Egyptian mares in Qatar.
And of course he was bred to Kajora, too. Above is their son who was
named Reserve Junior Champion Colt at the National Show of Qatar in 2002.
More photos of him can be seen at the report of this
showHis full sister Hathfa Al Shaqab was Reserve Junior Champion Filly
at the International Show of Qatar in 2002. I saw her there and she
looked magnificent to me - more elegant and refined than her dam but solid like
her with the added beauty of her dad. An exquisite filly.

I really admire the breeders in Poland, as they don't hesitate to use other bloodlines to keep the highest standard of type, conformation and movement. The examples above of the Qataris Polish/Egyptian crosses tell you exactly why—I saw both of them last year, they are stunning. Probably all or at least most of the US breeders of Polish bloodlines would snear at using Straight Egyptian stallions. In my opinion they seem to have little idea how to use the Polish lines they have anyway. Most of it has been Bask/Aladdinn. The absolute best Bask progeny were out of the Crabbet mares I think, such as Tornado who was a great sire.
I can't wait for the WAHO conference in Poland next year.
