Full Version: Selimah Rein ägyptisch?
Auf der sehr schönen Website von "Selimah Arabians" in Österreich wird die Stute Selimah als "rein ägyptisch" bezeichnet. Meiner Meinung nach ist sie das aber keineswegs, da sie eine Tochter von Fakhr El Kheil ist, der Skowronek-Blut führt. Oder?

You are quite correct, Fakhr El Kheil as a decendant of the Skowronek son Registan through the wonderful Sheikh Al Arab daughter Mahasin who was out of Kasbana (Registan X Resella), doesn't fit the Pyramid Societies definition of "straight egyptian" but then neither does Selimah's granddam the great Sappho (Blenheim X Selima), bred by the late Mr Musgrave Clark. Still Selimah looks from her pictures to be a very nice mare indeed.
incorrectly labelled or not , it makes little differance so far as the horse herself is concerned.
