Hello people of the Forum,
how many straight Egyptian sons of the famous Anaza El Farid are out there (besides Farres and the classic Farid Nile Moon)? Anyone who knows a son of him worth breeding your mare to? Would be very interesting to know how many good sons of Anaza El Farid are living.

I have a 3 year old stallion named Shah El Farid (Shahadaa T.O.A. x Anaza El Farid) (Straight Egyptian) He is a beautiful gray son and doing well in the show arena. He has already been Top Ten at the EE as a yearling and was pinned Jr. Champion, and Reserve Grand Champion at the Houston/Katy Christmas show last December. This past January he was again pinned Reserve Champion at the January Jubilee show. Shah is standing at Michael Byatt Arabians. You can read more about him on our web site or contact Robert Cass or Michael about this lovely stallion.
Our new photos of Shah will be appearing soon on our web site.

Do you have any colts from this line?

Talaria Farms has a yearling colt with similar bloodlines...Farid Nile Moon x Imperial Masreena (by Imperial Madheen).
He's a beautiful colt with a lot of charisma, and will stand next year as their junior stallion and an outcross for Botswana offspring).
I think he's supposed to come to the 2006 EE....not sure about showing, but definitely will be presented.

Thank You Guest.
I love Talaria Farms. I missed Suhal last year. No $" for the stud fee.
Now he is somewhere in Mexico.

Dear Dee Dee,
Well, Suhal al Nasser is now back in the US after wintering in Mexico.
He is at Michael Byatt's barn in New Ulm, Texas, and is being readied, I understand for Michael to show at the 2006 Egyptian Event.
I do not know if they are standing him to outside mares or not...but perhaps you might have a "second chance" here.
We have three Suhal foals coming this spring (enshallah). One out of a Ruminaja Ali daughter, and two out of Botswana daughters--both full sisters out of my foundation mare, *Fardousa (by Ikhnatoon).
We are very excited about these three foals...and hope for outcross blood to keep Suhal's wonderful pedigree in our herd.
Oh, and "US Guest"--thank you most sincerely for the nice comments about Madhin Nile Moon. We think he's pretty special too and feel honored to be managing a colt we believe will make a great impact on the breed.

Dear Dee Dee,
Then I must hope for colts, I suppose. One mare is "bagging up," and the next due mid-April (with the last one not 'til mid-July).
I pray only really for healthy well-conformed foals. Everyone always says "Oh, we want fillies..." but we find there is as much demand for really good colts (particularly here in the US where so many of our great SE stallions have been sold abroad).
I wish you a lovely spring, filled with flowers and good fortune. (I am sorry that I don't know Michael Lane...but that is probably my fault as I must stay quite close to the farm and my other job and don't get around as much as some other Arabian breeders....)
Best to you,
Allison of Talaria

Hi!
Read your post on straight egyptians com. Learned you have a 3 year old son of Farid. Our question ; so there is still frozen semen of Farid available in the States? And if yes, where is it available?
We would very much appreciate an answer to our question.
Thank you kindly and have a nice day,

Hi Miranda
Wow! This is great news. Thanks for letting us all know. Do you know which mare this was out of? I am very happy for Jenny. Forest HIll really are expanding their SE program these days, which is exciting.
I didn't realise there was frozen semen still available from this amazing stallion.
Didn't he die quite some time a go?
Cheers

Not an Anaza El Farid son, but a Farid Nile Moon son, standing at stud here in Quebec, Canada, 5 years old and bay, I have no pictures as he is not my stallion, the owner should be able to ship semen next year. By the way he is Straight Egyptian. His name Dezavala.

Canada Farms Arabians in Ontario Canada bred two lovely Anaza El Farid sons, El Gretzky and El Victor II. Like Ghazal, they are Egyptian-Polish crosses. Both are on the Canada Farms website and I believe that one or both are currently at stud. They are being bred to Jim Sommers' lovely Simeon Shor daughters-- more precious bloodlines hiding away in southern Ontario.

Hello Michele
Dezavala is the colt that Charline Barbier owned in partnership with a breeder from Texas. Do you know where he will stand at stud or if Gilbert plans to stand him at his own farm? Charline thought this was an amazing colt.

Hello,
Who now has the colt by Farid Nile Moon, Dezavala, that was owned by Charlene Barbier? I knew him when he was a foal, and am very familar with his dam. Does anyone know what happened with Charlene's horses after her death?
I also have a Farid Nile Moon colt, out of a Simeon Shai grandaughter. He is a yearling, and stands 14 hands! He is a bay, and will be my herd sire. I am a huge fan of Anaza El Farid. I also have a ZT Faa'iq daughter, and she will be bred to the Farid Nile Moon colt.

You may already be familiar with Mijan El Kadaaar who is a grey son of a full brother to Anaza El Farid. Anaza El Kadeen. A very nice bay full brother to Farid. Owned by Mijan Arabians. If you have been to the EE you most likely have seen Kaaadar. He is an outstanding young stallion.
I feel blessed and fortunate to have two Anaza El Farid daughters.

For me, *Gazal Al Shaqab remains the best son of Anaza El Farid - at least among those I have seen.
I have seen this Anaza El Farid grandson that I think bears watching. He's a 2 year old Imperial Al Kamar son out of Anaza El Farid daughter, and he's owned by Sue Burnham and Tom Patterson in Cove, Arkansas. Really striking young stallion with the "IT" factor in abundance, a beautiful face, ears, eyes, neck, and wonderful, natural motion and gorgeous ungingered tail carriage.

And to see him move -
VIEW VIDEOI love "discovering" such quality "unknown" horses in my travels, and this one definitely merits a closer look by those who appreciate this blood.

A little removed but significant quality is our Anaza El Farid sire line via Faahim (brother to Farees) via Fayrid (x Imperial Madheen daughter), Halimas Al Zayd, grey mare 2007. (x Simeon Shafan (Prince Fa Moniet x Simeon Simona). We are very thrilled with this young mare who is due to produce her first baby shortly.
http://www.hollyfarmnz.com/alzayd/halima.shtml We have been highly successful with our Anaza Bay Shahh son Simeon Sapar (x Simeon Sa'ada (Asfour x Simeon Safanad) so established big fans.
