Since i was not able to make a poll... i came up with a new idea...
earlier on in this forum a topic was posted and everyone posted in who they thought had the most CLASSIC HEAD many many pages where posted in (over 30) you can check it on the search...
anyway what you do is post in the list of your top five most CLASSIC HEAD horses starting from five(the best) to one(the leat best) so for example if i thought horse A was the best i put him at number five giving him five points and at the end after we reach allot of posts i will count them and post you the results
EXAMPLE your post should look like this
5-A
4-B
3-C
2-D
1-E
A B C D E are the names of the horses

if there is one thing that really annoys me about this board its the overpowering fixation on the head.
Firstly the head is only one part of type, if we are unable to see the type in the entire horse, and the quality of all of the horse, we may as well give up on horses and just stick to sculpturing horse heads instead.
Type is embodied in the entire arabian horse, not just the head. Especially when an animal can have a big eye, a huge dish and still be a very poor quality arabian - type is temperament, bone, body shape, movement. If the entire picture is right the horse will be unmistakenly an arabian horse.

I believe that all of the horses mentioned so far, have good overall type as well as a beautiful head. The true Arabian, is the one who appears with head held high, tail held high, gives you an appearance of strength, but beauty, and you just know it can take you any where !

Yes, but a high tail and a dishy face does not an arab make. The horse with the dishiest profile, huge eye, rip snorting attitude and high tail carriage in my paddock is my warmblood. He's got a lot of arabian blood, could probably win a classic head class, but there is quality of bone and body shape that tell my eye he's not a purebred arabian.
There's a wonderful story in one of the Crabbet Australia Magazines about Paul James of Arabian Park Arabians, in Sydney. Arabian Park bought the first modern straight egyptian stallion into Australia - Ansata el Hakim.
Visitors would often ask Paul James which horse he would describe as having the most beautiful arabian head. He would rave about a recently imported mare down at Arabesque Arabians owned by Lesley Dowley. So off people would dutifully trot down the road to see this wonderful imported mare with the most typey arabian head......
What he failed to mention was that the mare was a purebred Welsh Pony.
Often when we're looking at partbred arabians and purebred arabians, many derivatives can have large eyes, small muzzles, tippy ears, and high tail carriage - but its qualities within their bodies that tell us that they are not purebred - quality of bone, type of hindquarter, general shape of the body......
so to judge an arabian simply on its head quality is entirely misleading.

At no time did the originator of this topic state that we will be judgeing the quality of an Arabian Horse
SOLELY on the basis of a pretty head. This thread is just a bit of fun, if you insist on contributing at least do it in the right context.

This may not be very in keeping with my usual reticence about horses that are close to me but I would honestly put Hlayyil Ramadan up there, and then his daughter Malak. Farid Al Badia is another, and RN Farida too. Simeon Sadik does have a beautiful head, also several local horses: Scudsly , Bilal(a Jordanian one!)well, the list is endless, as already pointed out, but for the record, there are many horses less famous for spectacular heads who actually do have them, like Abakan for example ...he is almost textbook for his double triangle from the front..ie close well shaped ears, low set wide apart eyes and then tiny muzzle (but with great nostrils ), and from the profile also a super deep jaw and the head tapering to a fine nose...not a huge dish it is true, but as also mentioned that is not necessarily a big deal, the refinement and classic requirements are there. Some horses have more showbiz or are more photogenic than others, but we should look closely at the qualities, as many really super horses may be overlooked. In Russia and Poland and indeed Hungary , I have also seen FABULOUS classic heads over the years -well, the world over in fairness, everyone has their own bright stars, God Bless them! Alia

Is it allowed to vote for yourself?
In that case I vote Rayyan Farm horses as follows:
1.) RN Farida
2.) Ansata Selket
3.) Ashhal Al Rayyan
4.) Jamila Al Rayyan
5.) Al Aangha Al Rayyan
But then I forget G Shafaria - Zeer Al Rayyan - Naifah Al Rayyan - ..... pffff. more to come.
No Question that one of the most beautifull collection of heads is with Hassanain, my favourites their are Bint Rebecca, Bint Bint Hamamaa and Samara SQR.
Osama I think you forget your own NK NADA.
Another favourite from my list I did not see yet is Tamria II and the menthioned El Thay Mameluck.
