THE ARROW
Hi all,

I'm new in this forum, and lookin' for some information about WN ULTIMATE STAR ( BLUESPRUCETANZEER X WN FOREVER LOVE / GG SAMIR ) , and also his ancestors and his get. I know he has been unanimous Triple Crown USA in 1996, but I do not find any information in my " old " AHW or AHT - I must say that I am a newcomer, and I subscribe only since 1999.
Thanks a lot

I liked WN Ultimate Star a lot when he was here in the US. Do you have specific questions about him? Maybe I can help. Another place that can help you out is Midcrest Farm, since he stood with them for so many years.

Hi,

last year Ultimate Star was leased by Nesj Arabians, Belgium. Maybe they can give you more information about him

At the moment he is standing at Avalon Ranch in France

Hi Journey,

I am particularly interested in his bloodlines ( I do not know anything about his parents or their lines ). I am thinking of breeding him to some straight russian mares to bring type and his beautiful eyes... Do you know if this kind of breeding has been done yet ?
I've seen a USA son of him ( only by photos ) named Rembrandt that seems to be outstanding. smile.gif
Thanks a lot

Hi, Juttta,

Thanks for the information. I know he is in France for the next two seasons, and I want to take this chance - We do not have everyday the opportunity of using an unanimous USA Triple Crown based in Europe. biggrin.gif

But first of all I want to find some further information about this stallion - I think he is quite unknown, despite his show-records
Also his parents are unknown for me ... and not many kids in the show ring !

I've had the opinion of the trainner that lead Consensus in 1996, that told me he thought he woud be National champion until the moment WN Ultimate Star entered in the ring ! after that, the game was over... wink.gif

As the handler of Concensus in 1996 I state without reservation that I never claimed upon seeing Ultimate Star I new it was over for Concensus...in fact I turned down the opportunity to show Ultimate Star in favor of Concensus. This should take nothing away from Ultimate Star, he is a nice horse, but using a reference to me, in a ficticious quote, to promote a horse is not fair to all parties. Let the horse stand on his own without making things up. MIchael Byatt

So sorry, Michael,

Please, accept my excuses about this point. I think I completely misunderstood the story I've been told, and it's my fault not to have confirmed who was the handler of Consensus in 1996, as well as stating these kind of " background feelings" in my post. No doubt Consensus is an outstanding & very special stallion .

As I quoted before, I'm a newcomer and at the moment of the 1996 US Nationals, I did not even know what was an arabian horse... and, of course, that doesn't excuse my lack of courtesy and respect. sad.gif
I apologize

Kind & sincere regards

P.S. - Always looking for information about WN Ultimate Star's bloodlines ! wink.gif

I agree that Ultimate Star is a beautiful Stallion. I remember what presence he had however I have seen about 3 of his foals and IMHO I don't think many of them have what it takes for halter, not to say they wouldn't be good under saddle. I saw 2 Ultimate Star foals at Brumarba Arabians and fell in love with them while looking at them from the front. Beautiful heads and large eyes. It was then pointed out to me to look at them from the back. They were both apple rumped with low set tails. The other one was bought by afriend and had the same look... I asumed this might be a trait that he passes on?
chose your mare wisely...

Whatever happened to Wayne Newton breeding? Do they still breed?
I have a mare that has some of his breeding back on her sires side a mare called WN Natalia.
I tried to look up some of his breeding on the net but could only find random horses, no real breeding info??
Donna
I beleive Whyne Newton is still breeding. I noticed in the Times, in the Ali Jamaal section he owns a nice Ali Jamaal son he is useing now. I am anxious to see where his program goes with the Ali cross, should be nice.

We had this morning a colt born by Ultimate Star out of Liana (Haracz-Dzungla). breeder & owner W-Arabians, Sweden

Howdy,

I've seen WN Ultimate Star and a number of his get. I watched him win at both Scottsdale and US Nationals. As did I watch his sire, Bluesprucetanzeer, go top ten multiple times at both the US and Canadian Nationals. I don't have a photo of BlueSpruceTanzeer handy, but he was a small, compact, fairly short necked horse lacking in motion. But, he had a stunning head, fairly correct conformation and he 'showed' well so won in some rather tough competition. He was also bay, so the bay Ultimate Star get tend to resemble BlueSpruceTanzeer far more then they resemble Ultimate Star or his stunning Spanish/*Aramus bred dam, WN Forever Love. I think Ultimate Star's get are also very slow maturing, that he probably crossed most consistently here in the States with large Bey Shah 'type' mares and his least effective cross was probably with straight Egyptian mares. Wn Ultimate Star was very much his "mother's son" and reflected she and her breeding much more then he did his sire. Just my two cents worth.

Mr. Newton hasn't bred more then a handful of foals a year over the past fifteen years, I'm guessing to breed for quality over quantity. He has used Padron's Psyche, Zodiac Matador, Ali Jamaal and Rave VF as outside stallions on his mares. I believe he recently Sweepstakes nominated two Ali Jamaal sons that he owns to that program, which would suggest they are going to be siring more foals and will be promoted. WN Ibn Ali (Ali Jamaal x Georgilane VC) is the one who Mr. Newton has used a fair bit over the past decade. His dam is sired by Arn-Ett Perlane, owned for most of his life by Mr. Newton and out of the US National Champion Mare, TJ's Georgie Girl (Al-Marah Canadius x Heritage Fleur by El Magato). The second Ali Jamaal son that was nominated is WN Ultimate Warrior, a chestnut that is out of WN Forever Love, making this stallion a maternal brother to WN Ultimate Star.

Hi,

Isn't there a son of WN Ultimate star at High Tor stud called Ultimate High MC. I don't much about him but I see you are British Arrow so he might be worth a look.

Dear The Arrow,

Thank you very much for your interest in WN Ultimate Star and WN bred horses.
I'm the farm manager of Wayne Newtons Aramus Arabians in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As not many people know, we are in business, breeding, showing and marketing our bred horses. Aramus Arabians was a bit slow in between 1995 and 2000.
In 2001 I had joined the family and we had been active since them.
We do stand a WN Ultimate Star son, WN Freetobe, who is out of the mare *Gondawa (Partner x Gonaga by Negatiw). He has been showen 3 times in 2001 and own Grand Champion Stallion at the Las Vegas show, Reserve Champion at Region 7 and was Champion Stallion Region 3 pre-show. We have many babies by him at the farm.
We also have WN Forever Love, WN Ultimate Star's mother, and she's in foal to Padrons Psyche for June baby.
We have some Star's daughters that we are retain as broodmares.
Our Star's offsprings are exactely what you are looking for when you bred to him: very type, beautiful heads, with hudge eyes, short backs, level croups, correct legs, lots of moviment and charisma.
We are also using WN Ibn Ali (Ali Jamaal x Georgilane VC by Arn-Ett Perlane), that had produce some outstanding babies.
If you would like to know more about our breeding program please contact me direct at
frpoli@yahoo.com or you can call me at +1 702 451 0444 during the work time.
Sincerely yours,

Fernando Poli

he was bought from Wayne Newton by Midcrest Arabians as an out cross for their Echo Magnifficoo bred mares and he also became a North American Triple Crown Winner by winning
US and CAN Nationals as well as Scottsdale championships . . Wayne knew he was special and named him Ultimate Star to reflect his believe that the stallion will be a show star .... then he was exported to europe.

He quietly breeds horses but he never advertizes so he's hard to get a hold of inregards to sale horses that he may have available

Check out Midcrest Farm and email stan keeter to see if he can get you in touch with Wayne. BARB

Barb:

I visited Wayne Newton's Aramus Arabians last year, about this time. I was taken aback by the Padron's Psyche cross on his GG Samir daughters. I don't think that I can say enough about this cross and do it justice. Before this visit, I really didn't pay much attention to Padron's Psyche, as my attention was focused on straight Egyptians, exclusively. It was a learning lesson for me about this stallion's significance and his ability to sire beautiful horses. The cross of Padron's Psyche on the Spanish lines were my favorite horses on the place, as well as the cross of WN Ultimate Star. However, there was a gray Monogramm colt out of Antigua that was more than breathtaking. He was SUPER exotic and just magnificent. That's another wonderful cross on the Aramus bloodlines. It was a phenomenal experience to visit Aramus Arabians and see a multi-generational breeding program at work. What amazed me most, was that using a very diverse group of horses, Wayne Newton has a very consistent group of horses. I saw two types on the farm: the taller, stretchier, English-type action horse and my favorite: the more close-coupled, shorter-headed, wider-headed, big-jowled, classically typey horse. I found out that Egyptian bloodlines do not have a "patent" on this type of horse. He exists in other bloodlines too. smile.gif

Yes, thank you. That's a better way of saying it: IN AWE. And I went there to see Antigua and she was evry bit as beautiful, maybe even more. Didn't expect to see so many beautiful horses, in addition to Antigua.

Don't know I'm afraid, but I am fairly sure that up until a couple of days ago, HT Karachi was for sale on Arabian Lines. His ad is not there now, I just checked.

If anyone is interested in an Ultimate Star son, there is one for sale in Ontario Canada out of an Amurath Baikal mare, Shimmering Star. The herd of a longtime breeder is being dispersed and the horses are on Kijiji Ontario. I have no interest in this but would like to see this well-bred boy (and the Baikal mares) go to good homes.

ok, thanks! smile.gif
