By the way: I didn't reed your message very well: Nile's Rhythm doesn't have any offspring. They tried in the past but he didn't know what to do with the mare.. Four years ago he was castrated (long story) so there also wont be any offspring in the future i'm afraid.

Wow, I will have to start looking in my notes. I saw *Jamilll and also A. Ibn Sudan at Ansata in 1985, and was proudly owned by an Ansata Ibn Sudan son from the age of 3 to 27, so now I remember why I liked this horse from a colt on. It is great to see how well he did in Europe, as I lost touch of him. Carol, you get a belated valentine from me for pulling this info up, as I don't know how to yet.

Really?

I hope you can imagine my position in this. I don't want to lose him and I promised him he would be safe with me untill the end of his life. Ha had so much to cope with in his life. He is really happy now and I am very happy with him.

He's coping with a number of health issues due to his past and I had him checked out in at the vetiranary clinic (pictures etc). Now I'm doing my best to give him the right training (riding isn't possible anymore, just a bit of walking around sitting on him for his and my fun) and supplements to relieve his pain. (artrose fase 4 and peesschede-operation). I go to him every day and work at the stables to earn his stable money back. I hope you are a bit soothed by the fact that I've taken him under my wings and that he is alright (as can be) now.

I also want to try to set some things of the past straight because I always had the feeling something was not "koosjer". You can imagine that having a horse without papers and with this kind of history (as I heard story's before) is not the most soothing thought with the current legislation. I also tried to find out where his papers could be but never found a trace. Do you maybe have an idea?

I'm sorry this divorce-catastrofe had to happen. For all the people and animals involved. I hope that knowing Nile is ok en being loved very much, can somewhat ease your hurt from the past.

By the way: He wasn't sold. He was Joke's horse untill she died. 2 years after she died I started grooming him and 1.5 years after they gave him to me to take care of him as my own horse. They knew I love him very much and would take good care of him.
