Dear all,

There is a topic with horses who have died.

I just lost my incredible mare due to an accident and want to do everything to remember her with respect. She was beautifull and very valuable.

My question is:
When can you submit a horse to the topic "legends of the past"?

As she did not have any foals yet and she did not win any prices...

She was daughter of Massouda x El Madahn Mareekh.

Thank you...

Best Regards

Dear Bregje,

I am very sorry for your loss.
I am sure your mare was one of a kind a very special.
However, all the horses in the "lost legend" series have
contributed significantly to the breed. They have left their mark,
made an impact. This is a rerquirement for including horses
into this series.
Again, I am very sorry for your lost. You should cherish your
memories of your friend and the precious moments you share.

Dear Oliver,

Thank you for your correct answer.

And it was in my thoughts, that they have to have contributed to the breeding program.

Well to bad my mare was 6 months in foal when we lost her...
So we lost her and her unborn foal.

I will certainly remember her... she was so special to me. We had such a strong bond together... There are no words for that.

Best Regards

Dear Bregje de Jong

She did win a prize - she won your heart.

It takes a long, long time to get over the loss of a treasured mare - if ever..some friends you just can't replace.. you have my thoughts.

What a beautiful words..... You are absolutely right, she won my heart.
And my friendship with her was a "once in a life-time" close bond.
I was her leader, she accepted me completely and trusted me that I would lead her safely whatever happened...
She called me till her last breath, she did not want me to leave her when she was in pain, she felt save and secure when I was close to her... That is the treasure she gave me... she was completely devoted to me... I felt responsable... we were a great team!!!

Thank you for your thoughts and great words. You understand exactly what I am going through.
It will take a long, long time to get over this loss..... if ever.... sad.gif
