I think Dreamcather SMF has got a really pretty face, if I must name one. It's exotic, nice dish, big black eyes, very refined.

I'm not a big fan of 'headjudging'. Though the head is an essential thing in 'type', the rest of the body is maybe even more important. You can breed an extreme head in one generation, but to breed movement, strong legs and a strong body is much more difficult.

SIMEON SADIK!!! He is the total package! I would LOVE to breed my S.E. Safeen daughter to him ! If only dreams could come true!

Must agree that on the female side, Samara SQR owned by Hassannain Al -Nakeeb and bred by Omar Sakr is one of the most beautiful black arabian mares, with a simply equisite dished head.

Another of my favourites is Maria Halima by Haziz Halim owned by Erwin and Annette Escher of Rothenberg Stud, Germany.

On the male side, I believe Al Baraki has a very impressive head and neck and is a truly imposing SE black stallion in all respects, - that is why I have one of his Daughters Al Shama Ali (" A Mark of Beauty") out of the most worldly known beautiful Minstril Daughter Alexandra Ali, at Templar Croft Arabians.

A very pretty head on a coal black stallion, is Thee Ever After. He has just arrived in Texas after standing in Canada for two years. Very big eye for a black, small ears, dish, and overall beautiful. He has produced some very exotic babies for Harriet Lang, Asiil Arabians in Prince Albert, Canada.
We are glad to have him down here for breeding in the states.

Where is the black colour coming from in Maheeb??? Is his dam black?

Perhaps it's the Ibn Galal blood in his pedigree? Both his sire and dam are greys and three out of four grandparents are greys, too.

I think the black color comes not only from Ibn Galal on the mother-side but also from Classic Shadwan as Maheebs father!
It is well-known that Classic Shadwan carries the black gene and sired several black foals - I try to post the photo of his exotic typey black filly Jamala Al Azahr (will see if it works).

Talika Sidirah and Talika Seduction a the result of full brother / sister mating (Talika Sirdahn Halima x Talika Sihnidah). I think for mares it is definitely Samara Sakr, she is just beautiful and from the offspring of Imperial Madori (Owned by Omar Sakr) here in Egypt, I have to say that uptill now in my opinion she is the best mare sired by Madori.
As for the stallions I will have to agree with Simeon Sadik, he is just stunning.

those are some pictures!!! there great sory i took a couple of days off because my mare had a baby!!! shes beautiful !!! but i just wanted to point out that there was a person (dodo) he showed a bay horse and not a black horse but it was a great photo and a great horse!!!

There is no question Samara Sakr is the prettiest black mare in the world today.I never saw her but had a chance to see a video of her in Cairo during my last visit and she is breathtaking. As far as Imperial Madori's daughters go I think the exquisite bay mare ,Maha Sakr (x Alidarra) is definitely the best of the lot and let us not forget Gelgelah ALB. Madori's list is long and it's really hard to differentiate at the top level of his get. I just visited Mr. Sakr in December and he has a black yearling colt by Shaheen who is outstanding . He is out of a Desperado mare. He also has another Madori chestnut colt out of an Alidaar (x Bint Bint Maarina) daughter who is stunning. This is my opinion for whatever it is worth. Mr. Sakr had indicated that his stallions will be going to Europe and then to the States next winter for a 12 month tour or something..I think he will get some semen frozen If you are reading this Mr. Sakr can you fill us in on your plans we are most anxious at least here in the US to have a chance to see your stallions and hopefully use them.

This is a picture I took of my 2003 filly Arastin who is by Arastin (Simeon Sadik x Arina) out of my mare Sadika (Simeon Sadik x Woodlay Angelika) - I think she has a beautiful head - what do you think?!

don't be nasty, the mare may not have the seahorse head of some of the other photos, but don't forget .....

the mare still shows type in the general shape of the head, the early writers compared arabians to coldblooded horses, not to GBE's pictures.

Type is MORE than just the head, the head is but one aspect, type is in the arabian horse in movement, attitude and body, so one horse may have a seahorse head and another be
'plainer' and yet the plainer horse in its entirety may just be typey. There's one very famous black stallion that's noted for his equisite head, but the rest of him is so appalling in both type and correctness that I will actively avoid his bloodlines, so a head does not necessarily maketh a good arabian.

Photos can shorten the head and distort the shape of the head. When I look at one of my mares in the paddock I can see she has a beautiful arabian head, but because my camera does not have the depth of field of a professional's camera, my photos do not reflect this.

It is also far more difficult to breed a truely beautiful black arabian. That's why a horse such as Simeon Sadik is such a phenomenon, he's black and he's beautiful.

And it doesn't hurt to be nice - this is supposed to be a sharing community - everyone loves their horses otherwise they wouldn't be here, how would you feel if I rubbished your horses should you show them to the world?
