Liebes Forum,

Besten Dank schonmal.

Hi Franka
the pedigree details of Ibn ghalabawi (Ibn El Rayes) (c.1950) are
incomplete.

So far I have been unable to trace his dam "Bint Nabras: (c.1940,s)
no breeder owner or strain- and her dam "Bint Soniour DB".
Her sire "Nabras" (Nebras) (1922) a Hadban Enzahi is recorded
EAO I/Page 29-. He raced 6/14/(6-3-1).

Sayed Marei reported to the WAHO that "Soniour"DB (no birthdate) was a desertbred. I have no records of who the dam of Bint Soniour is,also she was declared "pure" by Sayyed Marei to the WAHO.
No breeder either. Bint Nabras is the ony recorded offspring.

to the best of my knowledge Ibn Ghalabawi is not a straight egyptian.

May be others have more data?

Interesting topic Hansi. It is only recently that the name Ibn Galabawi was added to the exclusions of the Asil Club definitions togheter with Sharkasi and Registan. Ibn Galabawi is however not excluded from the Pyramid Society definition of straight Egyptian, so for the first time it is not so that all straight Egyptians are per definition asil? wink.gif

Hello Patrick,

Was the case of Ibn Galabawi as "crucial" to someone's program as Exochorda seems to be?

Hansi made almost the exact same finding with this horse as she did with Exochorda. Was she attacked for "denegrating and viciously maligning" this horse, just because she could not find supportive evidence?

Dear Ray,

Ibn Galabawi has not had the world wide impact that Exochorda has. Any mud slung at Ibn Galabawi will affect (hurt) less people. Add to that the fact he is not accepted by the Asil Club.

Hansi has maligned other horses than Exochorda which brought about alot of discussion. Many tried to support the case for these horses even when they did not own or breed the bloodlines. Can you not see how malignant this cancer is?

Quote Pete Hiatt "I went to my first Egyptian event in the late 1980's when my interest turned to SE's. Hansi was there with her books and a booth. She was RAILING on about Adhem to anyone who would listen. I didn't know that horse from Adam so I engaged her in conversation. She simply went on and on attacking the horse and telling me of all the proof she had. I kept asking her what proof there was, and SHE NEVER ANSWERED ME! I finally walked away thinking my questions were not getting through to her due to the language difference. But nowhere has she ever answered these questions. Everything is innuendo. When I asked other respected people in SE's about her and the accusations, she was discounted in other than respected terms. No horse she has ever attacked has ever been removed from Al Khamsa's asil list or the Pyramid Society's Straight Egyptian list. That says a lot for the lack of quality of her charges"

Quote Pete Hiatt: " Accusations to the contrary have been hurtful to the Adhem line, in particular. These were simply accusations and completely wrong. I remember the first time I met Hansi she was haranging about Adhem and how horrible the coverup was about him. I was new to Egyptians and was attending the Egyptian Event to learn more. I repeatedly asked her what evidence she had to support this claim (I didn't know Adhem from Bask). She never even gave any hint of why she attacked the horse so. Neither has she ever given evidence on any internet site. The reason is because there is NO such evidence. However, the accusations severely hurt the businesses of several people I met later."

Quote reluctant2guest: "After careful research, and ongoing correspondence with knowledgeable researchers, we did buy a stallion with Adhem lines even though Hansi continually maligned his bloodlines with innuendo and suppositions which she based on assumptions concocted by leaps of imagination and downright meanness all without definitive proof. Then, with magnanimous courtesy challenged all those who voiced contrary opinions to prove her wrong???? In other words prove themselves innocent. Never mind that documented proof of Adhem's provenance was exhibited then FORGERY was bandied about????
The Egyptian community lost a most skilled breeder directly because of the defamation crusade foisted on Adhem bloodlines"

Banks - I need to start at square one. I quoted Hansi's post for you. Is this how you define "mud slinging" or "maligning"?

In resposne to the "Adhem" case, I like to say that what was posted by Pete Hiatt is wrong. Hansi Heck did prove everythinh about this case in her INDEX, all the letters she get from Egypt about him and so forth. There is of course until this very day no evidence that Adhem's pedigree problems can ever be solved.
