Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about this stallion? He was owned by Alex Tubel for most if not all of his life. I think he was bred in Germany, imported to the US (and used in Canada too), and then exported to Austria with Alex. I would like to know as much as possible about him, conformation, if he was shown, what he gave to his foals, etc. I have a SE daughter of his and I am trying to find out more information on this part of the pedigree. Any pics?

I saw Mameluck about 14 or 15 years ago. A horse transportation company had stopped here to pick up one of our stallions to take to Michigan. Mameluck was on the trailer. He was a very regal looking horse and though older still full of fire. You could definitely tell that he was something special and he knew it.
I read an article on the internet a couple of months ago about Mameluck that I think Arlene had written. I might have put it on my favorites list. If I can find it I will email you a link. It was a great story.

I would love any photos that could be posted please-I have a grandaughter of Mameluck that is sired by Anaza El Farid and I just cannot locate much information nor many photos on Mameluck anywhere.I couln't get the Cherry Hill link listed above to open for me either....

2 mameluck daughters are to be found in austria -- with offspring:
karehma (mameluck x animah) and saytara (mameluck x shams el saayda).

Their children are:

I saw Mameluck (1969) in about 1974, when Ms Teitrick had him here in Florida. I liked him very much. He was correct and had a very sweet, gentle dispostion too. I also saw some of his offspring which were stamped by him. He was not that tall, about 14,3 and could have grown more thereafter, maturing only at about age 12.

Tubels by enlarge also bred functional horses and many are quite typy as well

His AHA registry number is AHR*115565 if that helps you to track him down. I may have some more current info on him @ home- I'm working now. I'll take a look at my stuff tonight & post anything relevent. He is a gorgeous horse.....

I have that same shot of Nadjimah saved into my documents that was e-mailed to me by Ellen Lambeth, the woman who inherited Jenny Jennich's herd when she passed. My Simah was a part of that herd as was his dam ( Nadjimah's daughter) Marba. I'll try to attach a photo of her if I can get it to work. I also have very nice photo of Jenny with Schariff el Bataa, son of Mameluck ( anyone know his whereabouts?) I'll try to scan & post it tomorrow.

I was fortunate to have been able to purchase the Mameluck daughter, Kohela, from Kathy Teitrick. She was an incredible producer for Greenland Farms and I was able to get her in foal as her last baby, to Imtaarif. That granddaughter of Mameluck, HF Imtoxicating, has her photo featured in the June/July issue of the Arabian Horse Association publication for their Discovery Farm article. Great temperament and beauty....

I also have a Mameluck daughter Dal Aur (Mameluck x Bint El Wadi). I can't seem to post photos on here so take my word for it that she is a very beautiful lady. I don't know anything about her dam Bint El Wadi. Also, I wanted to mention that if anyone knows what the name Dal Aur means I would really love to know.

I know this thread is old but I wanted to say I have a pretty *Mameluck daghter, Faharna, that produced a stunning filly about 4 months ago by my jr. Asil/AK stallion, Opeyah El Nazeer by El Gamill (*Jamilll). She is a flea bitten grey with the nicest disposition.

Would love to get some more information on her sire, *Mameluck....anything personal. I am on Data Source so have all the regular "facts".

Here is my Mameluck grand daughter.... Her name is Bint Kohela... I'm guessing she is about 14.3 hands tall and she had the most beautiful black eyes that pop out of her head. She has black flea bites and the largest nostrils. She is very very sweet and loves to get attention. Kohela is truly one of my most favorite broodmares and is currently in foal to Vanylla Ice who is an Egyptian Prince son out of a Ruminaja Ali daughter. I am praying for a healthy foal - and no matter what the sex it - it will be a great contributor to our program. This foal will also be double Shaikh Al Badi so should be very typey.

My daughter has a Mameluck gelding called Mamelucks Image a.k.a Luke (b. May 13, 2002) bred by Alex Tubel while he lived in Wisconsin. He has *Mameluck twice on his sire's side and once on his dam's side. He has an excellent temper and fast learner. He is taller then his grandsire though at about 15 hands. I have only seen one picture of Mameluck, and Luke looks very much like him.

Luke does have a half-brother that we found called Noble Conquest (Asami Mujiir x Bint Mameluck, by *Mameluck) born April 5, 2006. From a Word document (saved the webpage lol) I saved on him, "November show in Baker, Florida" - "He won the weanling colt class ". He was at Magic Image Arabians in Montgomery, Alabama. Thank you He does not really have a "dishy" face as most arabs do I noticed lol He is also more of a very pale dapple grey (he still may whiten out more). When my daughter first got him, I swore he couldn't have been a grey because his baby pic had him listed as grey....but he was a sorrel! He looked terrible when he was shedding out - like a dirty pale palmino! I have never seen a baby go from cute to ugly to beautiful in the span of 3 years lol

Do you mean the filly that was foaled about a year or less after my daughter bought him? I had forgotten about her! I was going to try to buy her from Heather but I never had the cash. He got loose and was found with the girls lol It was one of those "guy things" So now the filly is a Babson/ Habdan Enhzai cross - I hope she is the best of both lines Is it possible to see a picture of her please? I am really curious to see how she came out
