Hi! I was wondering if you could please share here your opinion of what the Imperial Baarez daughters are doing in the breeding shed. Is there any particular characteristic, or group of characteristics, that are being seen produced consistently? Things to look out for and plan for as a breeder, both negative and positive? I am well aware of the wide range of contributions that will be contributed by the female side of the pedigree, I am just wondering if he "tends" to produce daughters that "tend" to do certain things. For planning purposes! :-)

Thanks,
Laurie

Hi!

From HANAN book from Dr. Nagel/ page 45: "Through sires chromosomes, the foal may inherit its color, neck, and good movements, while it may inherit its shape of the head and topline from its dam."

His daughter Imperial Baalorah... For sure she took some pigment in the nasals smile.gif , eyes stayed too I think, nice movement, color, but otherwise check the link and see for yourself. In YouTube link is his daughter Imperial Baalorah out from Imperial Kameoh.

On the picture below is daughter from Imperial Baalorah, my girl Bint Shanaia (Ansata Iemhotep x Imperial Baalorah by Imperial Baarez), and for sure I can say that head stayed, body is bit thiner and elegant, great movement allsaw stayed, white pigment color in nasals is presant just deep inside, she is turning more white every day, neck seems to stay the same. In all the pictures she is in 7th month of pregnancy.

Hope that I have been helpfull?

Best regards, Matja˛

I have just visited Eastern Star Arabians and seen some wonderful youngsters from Imperial Baarez daughters. They seem to be breeding on extremely well.
Some people have been saying that all the best SE's have left the country !! Not so IMO. In the last week I have visited DeShazer Arabians and Eastern Star Arabians, where I saw some stunning SE horses.

Dear Laurie,

We have 7 Imperial Baarez daughters at home, and 1 son.
I must say, every single one is a superb horse, and we are very proud to have this collection of horses at our farm.

For example see the pictures of PSE Rasheekah, she is by Imperial Baarezah (Imperial Baarez x Imperial Safama) and her father is Royal Colours.
She realy is something special. PSE Rasheekah is supreme champion filly at the Egyptian Event Europe in 2008, this year she was shown in Sicily Italy and became supreme Champioon filly at the Egyptian Event Sicily 2010, and reserve Champion filly in the international B-show.
You can find her pictures in the international section Sicily 2010 1th (3 year old fillies), Menton 2008 (2th yearling fillies) and Egyptian Event Europe 2008 1th (Champion filly)Visit our Website
If you have more questions please pm me, we are glad to give you more info about Imperial Baarez his get that we own or bred.

I hope Diana Cantey will reply to this thread as she has produced some fantastic Baarez daughters through her Tammen daughter...AZAAMAH.

Taken from Diana's web site (a little info about Azaamah and her Baarez get):

She (Azaamah) produced a stunning grey filly for us in 2001 (Baarizah) that opened the door to secure her breeding future to Baarez. Barizzah's "float on air" trot and outstanding suspension on the lead resulted in the highest scores in movement in a very competitive class. She received compliments from some of the most respected and successful breeders in the industry. Her full sister Baariyah tied for the highest scores in movement at the '05 Egyptian Event where she placed 4th out of an extremely competitive class of 22 Futurity Fillies with Paolo Capecci of Italy at the lead.
.
Azaamah's '04 colt Baarafic was sold to Australia and took top honors at the '05 Pan American Show, being named Champion Stallion under judge Liz Salmon for owners Ron & Lorrain Bond of Chaswyck Stud. Baarafic was again Supreme Ch. Stallion at the 2007 Pan Pacific Showcase under Dr. Nasr. Marei.

Her '05 filly Imperial Beveerah unanimously won the Yearling Futurity Championship at the '06 Egyptian Event (fillies 4/15-12/31/05) for her owners, the Imperial Egyptian Stud. She too commanded the highest scores for her incredible movement. She was sold to Pierre & Mary Anne Groenen of Prestige Straight Egyptians, Belgium. She has had phenomenal show success in 2007 winning Jr. Champion Filly at the Egyptian Event Italy in
April and then Res. Jr. Champion Filly at the Egyptian Event Europe.

Here's a family photo of Azaamah's first Baarez offspring, Barrizah as a yearling with me and Diana (several years ago!!). I absolutely loved this girl!!! She LOVED to put on a show in the ring!
