Everybody-There are not enough words to thank you. That he won so big has to be because he has enjoyed so many good wishes and prayers from you all...a real power-from the movie Miracle on 34th Street: "Faith is believeing in things when common sense tells you not to." At the show we had tremendous support-thanks to such wonderful people like Donna above, Mt. Pleasant Stallion Station, owner/manager Cindy Morgan's guidance. She arranged for Ventura Farm's incredibly gifted Rich Simpkins to bring him into the ring. Rich for the very first time worked with him once on Friday for 5 minutes (he really thinks it is a matter of getting to observe the horse and see what he knows) and then again 5 minutes on Saturday before going in. Antham loved him and responded accordingly.
So you see what I mean-this has been an incredible if not nearly miraculous experience for us! You've no idea how much your support is appreciated.
Barbara: Antham is by *Rushan an El Saleem son thus double *El Shaklan out of the best of British bloodlines (*Rushan was '97 Supreme British National Champion) and out of WN Sharazada by Bluesprucetanzeer (tail male Nazeer via Ansata Ibn Halima) and out of WN Samira, a GG Samir daughter going back to Zulima SSB, a Seglawi Al Abd imported by the Spanish from the desert. So you have quite a bit of blood from principally Britain, Spain and Egypt. There is one line to Comet via *Derwisz on the dam's line.
One slight glitch in the photos---I didn't take them and the show photographer isn't giving me a deadline when they will be ready.
Australia? Know where I can find that suitcase??? Here is his dam WN Sharazada photographed by Jerry Sparagowski as a 3 year old:

Congratulations, Gari!
Antham....you are A W E S O M E !!! Please do give him a couple carrots for me! Had I been able to, I would have brought a whole bag of baby ones to celebrate!
Fortunately, I was there Saturday evening to be a part of the spectacle. The tension and excitement had the crowd at the edge of their seats. I can honestly say that Antham's championship is quite an honor. The class was full of exceptional colts--lots of Padron's Psyche and several *Simeon Shai sons, but Antham literally "glittered" like pure gold! He's so beautiful he brings tears to your eyes!
He was expertly conditioned and I agree--Rich Simpkins showed showed him flawlessly, considering he hadn't worked with him but just a few times; a true testament to Antham's natural show ring presence, confidence, and ability to trust a relative stranger.
After seeing him in the ring and scrutinizing him against all his rivals, I think that he's possibly the most outstanding young stallion in the entire United States. He could easily jet off to Europe and capture one show championship after another.
Gari, I can't wait to see his first foals.
Wish one was mine :-)
Again, congratulations on a most prestigious championship.

P. S. Did *Rushan see the video? Bet he's poppin' his buttons with pride!

Susan-you have described my own tension beyond imagining!...all in all think I would have been happier in a lions den! There is nothing like watching your child and having no idea of the outcome. I mean I think he is the most beautiful creature in all the world BUT....well you know what I mean. You don't realize you can hold your breath for so long especially when they were going 'unanimous'...First Judge: Antham; Second Judge: Antham....at this point someone leaned over and said you have it made! Didn't matter-the last judge had been voting differently all night...but then Judge three:ANTHAM! Good gracious...that breath was sweet. You really captured the moment so vividly! Am printing it out and saving it in an Antham scrapbook!
Have to share one story: Cindy told me it happened while they were waiting at the end of the class for totals to be added up....she walked over to the rail to lean over and congratulate Rich standing with Antham about 5 feet below for doing such an incredible job... As she was talking to him Antham lifted up his head to her hand, gave a sniff to make sure it was her and then began kissing her hand on the rail! He is such a poppet-pure love. People would come by his stall and he would give kisses through the bars.
Fernando-Have sent you an email. Thank you!
Ralph, Stacie, Rhoni and Hansi- Thank you all so much. You too make my heart sing...

Dear American Breeder -Thank you! You are absolutely right. We have been blessed and there are just not enough words of praise for all involved.
Can't remember if I told you folks but Sharazada was not only vet checked in foal but they got a fetal heartbeat too! Here is Antham at about 6 weeks of age:

Rhoni! Thank you for what has to be one of the most dazzling compliments! Have no idea yet what is next. We are sort of feeling our way along. But will keep you posted.
Hansi-Best I can do is the ridden shot where he standing naturally. But his muscling has changed rather considerably in the last few weeks. He is growing again...he turned 3 on April 25th so he is very up and down.
Michelle-Thank you! Please say prayers for us. We need all the help we can get for the competition over here is fierce. Are you showing this year?
Dear Bob...Keep thinking that Pat is up there watching over us next to Miss Mary Russell and Miss Meg Stevens ....with big smiles because as certain as I am sitting here typing - those ladies had as much to do with his success as anyone. You sure have been there from the beginning for which I am so thankful. By the way-emailed you privately. I did receive your email and responded right away...! Am wondering if that odd virus might have stopped it? The computer service was having a lot of problems about the time I responded back to you.
Dorothy! Coming from you way up in Scotland is so appreciated! Have you had anymore babies this year? Will you be at Malvern???
Bless you all-you all will never know how much your support means and is appreciated.
Here is a head shot of Antham taken on Saturday as well.

Hello Gari, One foal this year. HT Karenina ( Sire - Shaikh Al Kuran/Shaikh Al Badi bloodlines; Dam - Karimda/PVA Kariim) presented me with a beautiful filly TCA Kareeannah (her first foal) on 1st April.(our 37th wedding anniversary!). Her Sire is Thee Equalizer.
Not too sure about Malvern this year. I have a really handsome yearling colt TCA Shaikh AL Damaran ( Sire- Shaikh Al Kuran/ Dam- HT Damietta) whom I would really like to show under Willy Poth, but not too sure if we can make the trip or not.
Love to meet you there for a chat if we do make the trip. Kind Regards, Dorothy.

Gosh-Hope to see everyone at Malvern! As Majid would say-Inshallah! Besides I want to see Nick's dragons' running on the green! Dorothy just hope to see you! It would be great if you could bring your Shaikh!
Anna-he certainly is 'buff' isn't he? That was the biggest surprise for me but they are swimming him two to three times a week so he has certainly taken on the Hollywood Arabian look-don't you think? My trainer in Northern Cal said that to effectively compete in the Southern Cal circuit Antham would need to be 'buffed up'! I love him anyway he is but as someone discribed Brad Pitt in the movie TROY...a sort of Hollywood version of (equs) a Chippendale...(for those of you living in outer Slawbovia... a Chippendale is a male stripper!)
Liz-Am really trying.
Thank you all!
