I know the discussion forum is usually about egyptian arabians but I was wondering if you could shed some light on my 2 year old filly's pedigree. Her name is Breanna, her father is Briggadoon and mother is El Dorita. She has a line to Ansata Ibn Halima and one to Serafix as well. I don't know very much about her mother's line and would very much like to know what strain she is. (and possibly, if anyone has the time, a breakdown on what polish percentage/crabbet/egyptian she is). This is a just sweetheart of a filly and I'd like to know as much about her as I can. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Ilse
if the dam is EL DORITA, grey, born 1997, she traces back to the mare RESHAN born 1896 in the desert of Syria, owned by H.Davenport in 1906, no strain is given.
Ilse
if the sire is BRIGGADOON, chestnut, born 1984: his female line is the mare NUFOUD, born 1925 in the desert, no strain is given.

Ilse, I have "Kuhaylah Haifiyah" as the strain for Reshan (1896).
she was bred by the anazeh, Syria and imported 1906 by Homer Davenport, to USA.

Thank you Ilse and Hansi! Anything else you can add about her pedigree is appreciated. By the way Hansi, there is a nice little farm for sale up here in Quebec.....actually nearly next door to where I live. I would love to have you as my neighbour. I have learned so much from you and others on this forum. Thanks again.
Ilse
thank you Hansi for the information -it is very much appreciated, as on the Austrian pedigrees 5 generations are shown together with the 32 rootmares.
Kind regards from Austria!

thank you dear Shan, this is so sweet of you. But I would never return to canada with horses. We came from Canada with our entire herd many years ago because of the wonderful climate in Florida.

Furthermore, my french is terrible rusty. I be lost

Have a nice evening
