I was hoping that some of you fine folks here know a little about this horse. I have the data source so have the stats on him but I have only ever seen a weanling picture of him. Any info, more mature photo's , offspring, character etc??

Also, can anyone here tell me about Gloria E Bush and or a Mr. Fletcher? Mr. Fletcher is listed as the last owner of Matar.

You input is much appreciated.

Thanks!!

Hi Slippy

Actually I was researching Mona's (T Mona Yasmeen) pedigree....she is a grandaughter of Matar. While researching hers I also noticed that both she and Tia (Tahara El Risaana) are ultimately connected to the same breeder (Gloria Bush) and this Mr. Fletcher seemed to have been the last recorded owner of most of Gloria E Bush's horses (including Matar) . Was also curious what the "T" prefix stands for on alot of her horses.

As for Matar, all I have so far is an ad in an old AHW magazine when Imperial had him listed for sale (as a weanling) . According to the datasource he has 27 offspring (not all SE). In fact, he was bred to Tia's dam a couple of times.

All very interesting actually but would really like a little more info if anyone on the forum here is willing or able to share.

Anyone????

Cindy,

Gloria Bush lived in South Eastern Pennsylvania until the late 1980's. She sold her Real Estate business and her farm and moved to North Central Pennsylvania ( Mansfield).

Gloria owned Imperial Matar and also El Risaan, a Morafic son. In addition, she bred mares to Shaikh Al Badi, and to Moniet El Nafis, and to Ansata Imperial, among others.

I met her a few years before she moved her farm, and was considering a purchase of one of her Shaikh Al Badi mares at the time. I remember seeing both Matar and El Risaan at her farm, and remember how they enjoyed "challenging" each other, over who ruled the farm!

I remember that Gloria bred some nice horses. I know that she also had some winning horses in performance at the National level.

Thank you Majid!

Can you give me your impression of Matar and or El Risaan? Don't suppose you would have any pics of either of them? rolleyes.gif

Especially Matar as I would really like to see him as a mature horse. Was he typical of the Imperial horses? Hope you don't mind all the questions....just would really like to get a feel for my girl's bloodlines. She is by Ben Malik so I have a fair bit of info on him already. Her dam is T Mouna Rasaleh (Imperial Matar x T Bint Rasaleh (Shaikh Al Badi x AK Rasaleh) ).

Also, I would like to get in touch with Ms. Bush. Do you have contact info for her. If so and you are okay with it...you could e-mail me privately at jahmar03@nrtco.net.

Thanks Again!

i know that this was posted many years ago, but i have personally spent time with Gloria Bush. i managed her herd about 10 years ago, give or take. i have her contact info, but i'm not sure if it is current. i don't remember all of their registered names (i think i would remember them if i heard them), but do remember Imperial Matar and that she had Sheikh Al-Bouti in her herd. she also had a very impressive mare that i would ride from time to time. something like Binta Mona?? it's been so long to recall the names. the horses were still registered in her former partners name, and if memory serves, the T was for the ranch/farm name, though that escapes me, after all these years. this was my first experience with egyptians, and my time with them, and Gloria, was very educational.

not sure if i can be of any help, but if i can be of any help at all, please email me at equimatch@yahoo.com
