Yes she does look great, and happy. I am glad that you managed to find her, you must feel very happy about that. I managed to speak to Marie yesterday, she's been working hard and had all the family for christmas. She had a last minute idea to go to the WAHO conference, but I had to say no, as I have to many horses to take care of. I will contact her and find out who was riding Sky Banner, I think that it was probably Silvy but I am not sure. It was nice to meet you Christine and to think that we were probably riding almost on the same paths and not meeting a few years ago
Thank you again for taking the photos of the two boys, they realy look great. I dont think that they will make it onto the cover of the AHW

simply because of the mud, not the photography , but I will certainly find a place of honor for them.

I will alway have fond memories of the scenic route to Gemminiche.
Happy New Year to you all and may all of your wildest dreams come true.
Julie
Hi Julie,
I have great memories of that trip too. I wish we had had more time or the sunny days of the last week... The last day, we went hiking in the forest in Villers la Ville. I love that place, was riding there a long time ago. Not close to home though.
Your boys look great. I am totally in love with Nepal's expression. Both are wonderful balanced movers too, flying above the mud and snorting clouds of steam in the frozen air.
About Oman, I have been very disappointed to hear (is that just rumors?) while at the salon du cheval, that a European manager(?) at the royal stable was gelding all the stallions and was going to buy new ones. I would really like to know if that is true, also what kind of stallions those were (bloodlines?) and what the rejection criteria were.
I hope it is not the showring fad...
Christine
PS. the picture I haven't found of Sky Banner was a side shot, dark dapple grey, if my memory serves me well.
