I was wondering if anyone here on the forum has attended the Polish Arabian Horse Festival before? I am planning on attending this August and would greatly appreciate any tips, thoughts, advice etc. Is it best to just to sign up for the package offered through Polturf and let them make all the arrangements for you? Is the VIP ticket worth it? I’m assuming most of the major breeders would be in the VIP tent? I am definitely planning on signing up for the post-sale tours to the other two stud farms (Michalow and Bialka).
Thanks in advance for your assistance. Poland is the next step in my goal of visiting most of the major international stud farms. It’s my way of learning more about the strains and programs of those who breed and cherish Arabians!
Next year, Inshallah, it is off to the Middle East!
Cheers!

Deb,
Unfortately you have to buy the VIP condition, unless you will be out of the show. There is no other choice. Every year they put a higher price on the VIP card, and it does not worth it. In a few years they will ask 1.000 Euro and all the usual fools will pay it...
Sorry.

Deb, we went last year, and you really have to have the VIP ticket to get the best out of your visit. Poland is a little different from visiting the rest of Europe. The hotels are interesting to say the least !!

Yes , it has gone up a little since last year. The Euro exchange rate to the US $ is about 1.22 at the moment, so it's about $500.

We have visited the Pride of Poland several times. Once as VIPs on invitation. I must say everything is organised for the VIPs. At the other side of the grounds there is a big tribune for the other people. Most of them are local people who have a great event.
Its possible the days before to walk arround the fields with all the mares with foals, the young stock, the old mares like fe Etruria.
At sundaymorning you can enter the stallionstables and all the other stables.
The only negative is if you don't be a VIP, the horses are handled at the other side of the grounds. You have to look good to see them well. But you can sit down beside the collectorsring and take a good look.
Its just what you prefer. This year we will go again and choose to take place between the local people. There the entreefee is 3 euro's.
For us its paradise and a great honor to walk arround and see all those beautifull horses.
