It is nice to see Kordelas being advertised here in the states. He is a very nice looking stallion.
I was just interested in hearing how all the horses are doing now in Texas?

I see Kordelas every week being worked under saddle, he's a lovely horse with a great disposition. They all settled in very well, and 2 foals have been born so far, both out of Polish mares that were purchased at last years sales. Liz Salmon

Thanks for asking about KORDELAS. He and all of our horses are settled in and doing fine. That is more than I can say for Christine and I. This has been a huge move and we are yet to settle in.
Our new farm is called the Diamond R Ranch and it is home to three trainers. Two reining trainers working with QH and Appalosa. Clare Salmon trains here focusing on sport horses and dressage. It is a very big operation to get our arms around plus all of the issues involved in moving.... I don't have the time I used to take photographs and post on the internet but I will get back to it...

I am glad to hear all the horses are doing fine. I hope you and Christine can relax soon. Moving is so hard, especially with a move like you two made.

A little update on KORDELAS for his European fans. He leaves a week from today for the US Nationals where he will be competiting in Open Reining. Reining is a difficult discipline and he is quite accomplished. We have our fingers crossed for a safe trip and a good performance. If you are going to Nationals he will show on Monday 11 Oct, Wednesday 13 Oct and hopefully in the finals on Friday 15 Oct.
He will also be presented on Saturday afternoon 16 Oct by Kim Potts at the Venture Farm Exhibitors Party.
In the meantime we continue to show some of his sons and daughers. We have shown three yearlings in four shows and they have collected four Championships. The most recent was TA ORIENT a yearling colt out of ORONKA (Alegro X Ordynacja by Banat). Here is his photograph. He was Junior Champion Stallion at the State Fair of Texas Show.

Hi Dick and Christine!
I LOVED the picture of *Kordelas in this month's Arabian Horse World, and your clever question about what the other stallions are doing to get ready. I studied the picture and thought to myself, "Now here is a real honest-to-goodness Arabian stallion"! He's exquisitely beautiful, he's obviously athletic and will really be tough to beat in reining, and he's proven himself to be an exceptional sire. The colt, TA Orient, is lovely.
Good luck! I hope everything goes well for you. A gifted horse and an equally gifted trainer. Tough combination!

For KORDELAS fans we are pleased to announce that he made it through the first cut in Open Reining at the US Nationals. He is tied for 8th out of a cut list of 20. In the next round they will cut the horses to ten. It will be difficult as many horses have approximately the same score.
We are so pleased that he is demonstrating the mind and athletic ability required to compete in reining at this level. It is a remarkable accomplishment for a ten year old stallion who last competed in the halter show rings of Europe.

Wow, Dick. Did you find a good combination !
What a wonderfull colt by Kordelas, I must say that I also see his grandfather in him.
Alegro has away to¨pass on his "look" to next generations.
More pictures PLEASE........
The best of luck with Kordelas, a wonderfull proof that an arabian horse can be an all round horse, at the show and under saddle.
Keep us posted !

Great news, Dick!
We're really excited for you! I hope he puts on the performance of his life and walks out of that ring with at the minimum, a Top Ten. I'd love for him to end up either reserve or national champion. wow!
So neat that such a beautiful stallion is also a real competitor under saddle!
Our best wishes for him to stay sound and come out happy, either way!!

We are thrilled to report that KORDELAS made the Top Ten in Reining on Wednesday morning at the US Nationals. He will ride for the Championship on Friday Night.
Our training Anthony Champion and KORDELAS have done a great job of getting to this level of performance in Kordelas's third show in reining. We continue to marvel at his great mind and willingness to cope with difficult conditions. It is amazing what these animals will do to please their human companions.

I totally agree. What a great ambassador for our breed. A wild Arabian stallion if I've ever seen one

The pictures are wonderful. Congratulations on your Top Ten as well.
