Champion Filly Latifah AA

Breeder & Owner:
Ariela Arabians
This
year's National Show of Israel once again demonstrated the influence
of the legendary stallion, Ansata Imperial. Most of the National
Champions carry his genes. In fact, seven of the eight champions
and reserve champions trace back to him - most of them through his
son, Imperial Imdal, who stood on lease to Ariela Arabians
during the nineties.

Champion Colt M.D. Taladin
(Al Maraam x W. Aalia)
Breeder & Owner:

His
bay son Al Maraam (Imperial Imdal x Vision HG), who is bred
and owned by Ariela Arabians, shone brightly as the sire of the
Junior Champion Filly Latifah AA, the Junior Champion Colt M.D.Taladin
and the Reserve Junior Champion Colt Al Bilal. His get cleaned the
house in the junior classes and left nothing to desire.

Reserve
Junior Champion Colt Al Bilal
(Al Maraam x Bahiha)
straight Egyptian
Breederr: Masleti family
Owner: Vito Arbib
Al Maraam has more than fulfilled the high expectations everyone
had after his own big successes in the European showring as a youngster.
As the Reserve Junior Champion Colt of the All Nations Cup in 1999
he is no stranger for us in Europe. Obviously Al Maraam is a prepotent
sire in his own right - you could pick his get out of every class:
He stamps his foals with short and extremely nice heads, good, compact
bodies and excellent tail carriage. Add the rich bay colour and
his own snorting attitude and - voilá - you have the perfect
Al Maraam foal. Most of them look like carbon copies of his sire,
even when they are greys. It was a thrill to see so many of them
flying into the ring and emerged as victors.

Senior
Champion Mare Bahiha
(Baahir x Imperial ImTiarah)
straight Egyptian
Breeder: Ariela Arabians
Owner: Masleti Family
The
Senior Champion Mare award was given to the lovely grey Bahiha
(by Baahir) whose appearance "on stage" brought back
memories of her dam, the late Imperial Im Tiarah (Ansata
Imperial x Imperial Mistry). In her youth Imperial Im Tiarah already
gathered many championships but in her autumn years she blossomed
into one of the most refined Ansata Imperial daughters I have ever
seen - grace and dignity surrounded her wherever she moved. It was
gratifying to see she had passed on her beauty to her own daughter
Bahiha, who is no stranger to the winners circle either. In 2001
she already was made Junior Champion Filly of Israel. To top it
off Bahiha produced the Reserve Junior Champion Colt Al Bilal.

Reserve Senior Champion Mare honors went to Aasifa
(Imperial Imdal x Mouna), another of those irresistible Imperial
Imdal daughters who were born in Israel.

Here
and in the title:
Senior
Champion Stallion Al Laheeb
(Imperial Imdal x AK Latifa)
straight Egyptian
Breeder & Owner:
Ariela Arabians
To
everyone's delight the Senior Champion Stallion was the brilliant
Laheeb (Imperial Imdal x AK Latifa). He demonstrated how
courageous and strong an Arabian horse can be by earning this title
in his first public appearance since his accident in Germany exactly
three years ago. A mare kicked him and he broke his leg. It took
time and lots of revalidation to recover. Now he's back in the saddle
again! Surpassingly beautiful from the day he was born, Laheeb won
many championships as a junior. During Laheeb's stay in Europe Poland's
master breeders saw him and quickly recognized his inherent greatness
and they leased him for a season.

Reserve Junior Champion
Filly Dumka
(Laheeb x Dabrowa)
Egyptian related
Breeder: Michalow Stud/Poland
Owner: Ariela Arabians
His
Polish bred son Poganin won his class at the European Championships
in Verona this November and proofed their decision was right. The
compelling champion Laheeb has transformed into a compelling sire!
This was more than evident at this show as well when his young daughter
Dumka (bred in Poland like her half brother Poganin) trotted
away with the Reserve Junior Champion Filly title.

Reserve Senior Champion Stallion Milano
(Mel Xilio
x Mel Quebria)
Breeder: Hoizinga Baralo/Holland
Owner: Achrak Arabians & Bessewacht Arabians
The
Spanish bred Milano emerged as Reserve Senior Champion Stallion
and high-scoring horse of the show. He is a classic example of his
bloodlines. With big "Spanish eyes" and a huge neck, he
has an exotic head, excellent tail carriage and breaks level at
a trot. The audience was thrilled!
Because
most of the entries were straight Egyptians or carried strong lines
to Egyptian horses many spectators referred to the show as a new
"Egyptian Event". At least it was the first where they
served kosher food...
