Although Israel is a tiny country and boasts only a small number of straight Egyptians, no one can deny their tremendous quality. Israeli straight Egyptians are major contenders in the international show rings of Europe and America and have won significant World Championship titles. Israeli-bred sE stallions are used in major breeding programs on three continents. And, as Israeli breeders can confirm, each new generation proves better than the last.
Just last year, Event organizer Tamir Raicher envisioned a show to showcase Israel's sE horses at home, and the first "Egyptian Event Israel" became an overnight success, winning the unanimous and enthusiastic support of our horse-loving public.
This year's second Egyptian Event was held on October 14th at Tel Mond's excellent therapeutic riding facility. Guest judge was a second-generation straight Egytptian breeder, the extremely capable Mrs. Joanne Lowe (Claverdon Stud) of Great Britain. She smiled delightedly as each new class entered the show ring, obviously appreciating all she observed and fully enjoying herself.
Once again the show was a beautifully organized, classy affair and although competition was keen the atmosphere was intimate, high- spirited, and friendly.
