Conformationally, Ali Barba is very upright and correct, with a long neck, strong back, and extremely nice hip. With three close crosses to the immortal Bint Magidaa (Khofo x Magidaa) – the dam of Ruminaja Ali and Alidaar – and with one additional line to Magidaa, this rare pure in the strain Obeyan stallion is one of a kind. With Ruminaja Ali as a sire, Ali Barba has several generations of outstanding horses like Shaikh Al Badi, Bint Maisa El Saghira and Alaa El Din behind him. With Ali Barba’s dam Alidaarlin, who is by Alidaar out of the exquisite grey mare Nagda (Nabiel x Bint Magidaa), the list keeps getting even more impressive. These influential bloodlines created Ali Barba — a package of pretty and performance. Ursula and Willi Poth, who brought the famous Alidaar to Europe when he was still an unknown quantity see his grandson Ali Barba as a "natural choice".
