Ali Mutazz

FACTS

Ali Mutazz is a classic example of the beauty, athleticism, and versatility of the Egyptian Arabian. At 15+ hands Ali possesses size and substance, yet still retains the classic refinement that defines an Arabian. He also has an incredibly natural tail set and floats when he moves.

Ali Mutazz ‘s show credentials include 2006 Egyptian Event First Place World Class Three Year Old Colt and Second Place Extended Specialty Straight Egyptian Colt (at his first show!), class A champion in sport horse halter and reserve champion in sport horse under saddle (his first time shown), and ribbons in training level dressage. He is nominated for the Sport Horse Payback Sire, Western Carolina All Star Futurity, Breeders Sweepstakes and Pyramid Society Stallion Owners programs. A breeding to Ali Mutazz is also available in the Salem Ranch 2011 Stallion Service Sale. He is tested SCID clear and EVA negative. Breedings are available by live cover, or cooled or frozen semen. Passion Arabians / Borderline Farm with Whitehaven Plantation is offering breeding incentives for Straight Egyptian (SE) mares, mares with show records, and multiple mares. In addition, Passion Arabians will pay half of the Pyramid Society nomination fee and will also offer to pay the fee on the first semen shipment (UPS overnight).

“Elegant is the one word that totally describes Ali Mutazz,” comments owner Christine Natelli. “My husband Anthony calls Ali Mutazz ‘the Cary Grant of the Arabian horse world.’ In the early years of Ali’s show career a well known handler came up to his stall and said ‘That horse is going to change the straight Egyptian horse.’ As we were new to the world of straight Egyptian horses, we had no clue what the comment implied until his first filly, Aliah Laheebah, was born. Owned by Beaver Creek Arabians, this beautiful straight Egyptian flame-chestnut filly will hopefully be making her debut at the 2011 Egyptian Event. Ali will also make his mark on warmblood breeding with his son Shams, out of a Hanoverian mare. Shams’ owner Nina Glasgow was hoping for a filly, but is so taken with the beauty, size, conformation, and temperament of this bay colt that she will be keeping Shams a stallion.

PEDIGREE

Ali Mutazz is by two time World Reserve Champion Stallion Imperial Baarez, a champion on three continents who is now based in Egypt, and has very few sons at stud in the USA. Imperial Baarez is an international sire of champions, with get including Imperial Baareg (a champion in Europe, Egypt and America), Imperial Beveerah and True Barressa (both champions at Egyptian Events in Europe), and Australian champion Baarafic. Imperial Baarez has had a superb record as a sire of Egyptian Event winners. From 2002-2010, he has ranked among the top 25 halter sires each year, and among the top five halter sires in four of those years. He has also been a leading halter and performance sire in five of those eight years. Imperial Baarez is a grandson of the superb show horses and sires Imperial Imdal+ (World Champion Stallion and National Champion sire) and *Orashan (a National winner in halter and country pleasure and World Champion sire).

Ali Mutazz is out of Moniet Fernazz, who is similarly bred to U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion Thee Desperado, the leading living Egyptian sire of champions. She is a granddaughter of U.S. and Canadian Top Ten Stallion and National Champion sire The Minstril, sire of 95 Egyptian Event winners in halter and performance. Botswana, a double grandson of The Minstril, has been the leading halter and performance sire at the Egyptian Event for the last four years. Moniet Fernazz is a granddaughter of AK Salimah Sharaf, also the granddam of U.S. National Champion Half-Arabian Sporthorse Jackpot Gelding FMF Tarif and U.S. National Champion Sport Horse Gelding FMF Arabi.

Moniet Fernazz also has two lines to National winner sire and grandsire Moniet El Sharaf and one to National winner producer Dahmah Shahwaniah. Her dam AK Amiri Fernazz was exported to Saudi Arabia and Moniet Fernazz is her only North American offspring. AK Amiri Fernazz is a maternal sister to HMT Ishmala, dam of regional champion sport horse under saddle HMT Antabla Geshan. In tail female she traces to the imported mare *Fernazz, whose daughter Fayrooz was in the broodmare band of the world famous Simeon Stud of Australia.

PERSONALITY

Wherever he goes, people just can’t help but stare at Ali! But while he can be animated and fired up in the show ring, this gentle stallion is a complete sweetheart to work with. Even at seven-years old he is pastured over the fence with young stallions and geldings. His trainer Trisha Dingle-Blackwell has nothing but praise for this talented young Stallion, who she feels will (and has) excel in main ring and Egyptian Event competition, as well as sport horse disciplines including dressage. “It’s very rare to find a stallion that is not only athletic but stunning as well,” she says. “Ali loves to work and is one of my favorites on the farm. As is typical of Egyptians, he gets more beautiful every day, and I look forward to watching him progress through the levels.”
