FACTS

Ansata El Naseri ( Ansata Ibn Sudan x Ansata Bint Bukra ) was foaled in 1969 in Oklahoma, at Ansata Arabian Stud. Ansata El Naseri was purchased by Willis Flick, and shipped to Glenglade Arabians in Miami, Florida at age 5 months. He remained at Glenglade as a herd sire for his entire life. Ansata El Naseri was the sire of many notable straight Egyptian get and grandget, both mares and stallions. He was not campaigned extensively as a show horse, however, he had many championships at halter, under saddle, and as most classic. He was truly a lovely horse and as many people who saw him remarked, "He looks like an Arabian should look!" Ansata El Naseri produced highly trainable foals that competed successfully in halter, racing, and performance.1.

PEDIGREE

Ansata El Naseri's illustrious sire Ansata Ibn Sudan was awarded a stallion's highest honor; that of National Champion in Halter in 1971. El Naseri's dam Ansata Bint Bukra, thought by many to have the most beautiful head of any Arabian mare, was imported from Egypt. Ansata El Naseri was, as all knowledgeable breeders would expect him to have been, a very prepotent sire

PERSONALITY

Ansata El Naseri embodied the fine physical qualities of both his sire and dam along with a kind and gentle disposition.

DESCENDANTS

Bint Faras Azali ( Ansata El Naseri x Faras Azali, by Fehris ), bred by Glenglade, was a prolific and very classic mare with a short dished head. She spent her later years at Ansata Arabian Stud where she produced seven foals. She produced the 1998 Egyptian Event EBC Champion Colt Ansata Riyal, by Ansata Hejazi, who was sold to the Kuwait Arabian Horse Center. She also produced Ansata Fayrouz ( by Ansata Hejazi ), a very beautiful mare who was sold to Abraxas Arabians in California. Bint Faras Azali produced two full sublings by Ansata Iemhotep. Both were exported to Germany, to Judith Wich's Orienta Arabians.

Glenglade Dahira, a balanced and refined mare bred by Glenglade, was one of Ansata El Naseri's first fillies. She was an important foundation mare for Glenglade, and produced many high quality foals. Her granddaughter, the striking chestnut mare Glenglade Rofira is double Ansata El Naseri. Glenglade Rofira is a broodmare at Achim Dirnhofer's Birkhof Stud in Germany.

Suseri ( Ansata El Naseri x Sudiya, by El Hadiyi ) is a beautifil Ansata El Naseri daughter ( with a second line to Ansata El Naseri on the dam's side ), bred by Glenglade, and sold as a yearling to Deborah Hurdle of Heritage C Egyptian Stud. Suseri spent the majority of her life under Debby's ownership, where she was trained in western pleasure, trail, and used as a broodmare. Suseri produced many good foals including the refined grey Bint Suseri ( by Ali Zaar ). Suseri also spent several years as a broodmare for Lyday Farms in Texas, where she produced the bold-moving dark bay mare LF Insignias Bay Star ( by Insignia DeSha ). LF Insignias Bay Star was exported to Israel.

El Sharie ( Ansata El Naseri x Sharara, by Kayed ) was retained as a broodmare by Glenglade Arabians for several years, then later sold. Under Barbara Berry Mikkelsen's ownership, El Sharie was bred to Shaikh Al Badi to produce the lovely broodmare Shadenn. Shadenn produced many fillies, including DSA Bint Shadenn ( by Shahir IASB ) for Dogwood Springs Arabians in Texas, and Hanaa Al Badia ( by Al Adeed Al Shaqab ) for Al Badia Arabian Stud in Kansas.

Ansata El Naseri produced many excellent performance horses. His get were athletic and versatile. His daughter Glenglade Zelda ( x Lancer's Zeina, by Kayed ) had park like motion under saddle. The Ansata El Naseri son Al Fustat ( x Walaa ) won English Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle classes in Florida. Al Fustat later became an impressive exhibition dressage horse in South America.

One of Ansata El Naseri's most extreme and beautiful sons was the flea-bitten grey Nakani ( Ansata El Naseri x Talkani, by Talal ), sold to Carlos Montt and exported to Chile. Nakani went on to become an influential breeding stallion in South America.

Nasani ( Ansata El Naseri x Talkani by Talal ) was a liver chestnut full brother to Nakani. Nasani was raced as a young horse, used at stud at Glenglade, and later sold to Laurie Soehn ( Schmelzle ). Nasani was a well balanced and extremely good moving horse. Nasani was the sire of Glenglade Sabar, Egyptian Event Reserve Champion 2-Year old Colt, and Italian Reserve National Champion Stallion.

Ansata El Naseri produced several very good purebreds. Among them was the particularly beautiful purebred mare GG Kheepsake who was exported to Brazil, where she became a prolific broodmare. El Naseri also produced the small but extremely typey and fantastic moving purebred gelding Indrio. Indrio's motion topped even Glenglade Zelda's, and his performances made many spectators smile.
