Dalia Halim literally put the German studfarm "Al Muntaha" with its exceptional broodmare band on the map. He is without any doubt one of the most prolific sons of his immortal sire, Ansata Halim Shah. In 1995 he passed the harsh stallion licensing with flying colours. He was awarded a gold medal and won the Supreme Champion Stallion title against toughest competition. In fact, 110 stallions competed for this title! In the same year he won his class at the international show of Wels/Austria against the subsequent World Champion Stallion Hadidi. Later he was third in his class at the prestigious All Nations Cup at Aachen/Germany. In 2002 he added the title of Reserve Senior Champion Stallion of the show in Winterlingen and Senior Champion Stallion of Ströhen. His huge eyes, correct body and absolutely straight legs are some of his attributes. Dynamic under saddle, he was shown successfully at Dressage events. Dalia Halim is a bold-moving horse with a ground-covering trot. Many a visitor of the Al Muntaha studfarm commented on his exaggerated movements. Dalia Halim is doing an incredible job in the breeding shed. He has sired some exceptional foals that have won in a variety of disciplines - from halter to liberty. PEDIGREE His sire Ansata Halim Shah certainly needs no introduction. He is one of the most influential straight Egyptian stallions of the last twenty years. On the other hand Dalia Halim's dam AK Bint Dalia II (by Ibn Moniet El Nefous) offers a different pedigree as she is a daughter of the beautiful bay mare AK Dalia (Ibn Hafiza x Aziza), who was imported by Bentwood Farm from Egypt in 1973. These Class A Halter Champion mare combined the athletic abilities of her sire Ibn Hafiza with the refinement of her dam, the famous Alaa El Din daughter Aziza. Aziza's rise to fame was based on her own beauty as well as the quality of her foals. Among others she produced the well-known stallion Lancers Sahm and the German foundation mare, Moetazza. AK Bint Dalia's sire Ibn Moniet El Nefous (by Morafic) was the heart and soul of Bentwood. As his name suggests, he was a son of Moniet El Nefous, the most highly regarded mare in Egyptian breeding in this century. Big, tall, yet graceful and elegant, Ibn Moniet El Nefous personified the classic Arabian horse and was a U.S. National Top Ten Stallion as well as Scottsdale Champion Stallion in 1971. He is very curious about everything that's going on, full of pride, very easy to handle and highly intelligent. But he knows that he is king of the barn. No other stallion dares to challenge him… |
