Safanad's 1985 foal is the mare Simeon Sasyah by Simeon Sa'ar (El Shaklan x Damirah, Marbach). She has proven herself to be a marvelous broodmare certainly fulfilling her owners expectations with her champion progeny.

Safanad's second son, Simeon Solomon at the Arabian Valley Trophy Show in 1992

Simeon Solomon, born in 1986 by the US import AK Jabal Ibn Moniet (Ibn Moniet El Nefous x Roufah) is Safanad's second son. What a hugely successful show career Solomon enjoyed! Who can forget The Arabian Valley Trophy Show 1992 in Queensland where he went Champion stallion. The vitality and presence he displayed on this occasion was explosive.

Solomon is a horse for all reasons!

His progeny appear to inherit their sire's lovely temperament and are breeding some outstanding individuals. Solomon gathered an envious array of halter championships. This extremely versatile stallion has proved himself to be a tractable and talented saddle horse. Whether it's working with cattle, riding in the bush or even down the main street of his home town in a parade he is a true Arabian companion.

Simeon Stav (Asfour x Safanad) under Australia's sun

Safanad's third son is Simeon Stav, born in 1987 by the incomparable Asfour (imported from Germany). Stav is from Asfour's first foal crop and was seen and purchased as a weanling. He achieved some consistent results in the Show ring including an A Class Championship which indicated an exciting beginning, however, the decision to let him mature and then return him to the show ring was abandoned due to major colic surgery.
Lorraine Kauffmann remembers Stav." I also have an indelible memory of Stav. I saw him as a day old foal, prancing alongside Safanad out in the paddock. Marion was very excited as he was Asfour's first foal and he well and truly lived up to expectation. His phenotype a perfect blend of his sire's and dam's illustrious lineage that has proven so prepotant."

Stav's sire Asfour (Malik x Hanan)

From his delicately sculptured head to the tip of his high flying tail Stav has the ability of expression to present to the onlooker a picture of his glorious ancestors by turn - spinning with flashing eyes, mane and tail flowing "Asfour" peeping around the corner curious and soulful "Safanad". Head up eyes wide and staring "Malik".

Malik (Hadban Enzahi x Malikah), Stav's grandsire

Stav's movement is extravagant and animated, with a personality that is by turn playful and loving! Stav's life now is one of regimented care and love from his human family, his progeny are flying his flag firstly and most importantly as breeding individuals. They are surpassing all expectations for their proud owners as they continue to reproduce their amazing family from generation to generation. We also see their clever and courageous personalities competing successfully in Halter, Undersaddle, and Endurance.

The next generation - Stavs Kru Sayd (Simeon Stav x Simeon Shaina)

Simeon Safanad was bred six times to Asfour. The first foal was Simeon Stav, the second the glorious bay Simeon Salome. Her very beautiful and chiseled face hinting at the strong relationship with her renowned grandam Hanan (Alaa El Din x Mona, Inshass). Salome is another jewel that has taken all before her in the showring being firstly a Reserve Australian Champion Mare followed by being crowned Australian Champion Mare the following year. What a superb representative of the Arabian breed she is!

The Australian National Champion Mare, Simeon Salome (Asfour x Safanad)

As I speak of, Jewels, Champions and Beauty, when I gazed into the face of Safanad's third foal by Asfour and her sixth consecutive offspring - my eyes filled with tears and I felt speechless. The horse is the phenomenal, Simeon Sadik. These days the expression "living art" is bandied around quite often but the sheer breed quality of this fantastic Arabian takes one back to a time where wars, murder and stealing were waged in order to aquire a treasured horse. "A Horse, a Horse - my kingdom for a Horse!" To me, this is Simeon Sadik!

For many breeders this horse would be the black Simeon Sadik (Asfour x Safanad)

Sadik was born in 1989 and is Safanad's first black foal. He would have to be one of the most talked about stallions you could find. He had an illustrious show career in Australia with an Australian Junior Championship plus may other prestigious awards before making the headlines once again all over the world by being sold to Halsdon Arabians in the UK. Simeon Sadik leaves a wonderful legacy with his progeny in Australia carving out a special niche linking them with his now quite outstanding, overseas offspring.
